GW New Releases: May 28th

Tons of New Seraphon Models & Battletome: New Pricing & Links

While the army box was released already, getting all the models on their own is nice! So even if you grabbed the army box, there are plenty of new minis to buy now. Plus, with such an extensive range refresh, there should be something for nearly every Seraphon player in the line.

However, we’ll be the first to admit these prices are a little wilder than we expected…

Battletome: Seraphon Retail Price: $60 ($90 Collector’s Direct Order Only)

This 120-page hardback book contains:
– Extensive background information on the Seraphon, from their ancient origins and mysterious temple-cities to the Old Ones they worship

New rules and ways to play are always the best way to re-invigorate factions! That being said, all the updated and new model releases this week are also sweet!

Slann Starmaster Retail Price: $85

This multipart plastic kit builds a Slann Starmaster – a toad-like mage-priest seated atop a floating palanquin. The Starmaster visibly exudes ancient wisdom and magical power, and the kit includes a huge variety of customisation options to make them your own. You’ll find a choice of two heads – one with an open mouth, delicate necklace, and elaborate feathered crown, and one with a closed mouth, ornate talismans, and optional diadem. There’s also two left arms – one carrying a sceptre, the other a crystal skull – and two right arms in different mystical poses, one of which comes with an optional arcane orb.

Even the palanquin can be personalised – the kit offers a choice of carved upper panels, engraved frontpieces, and scenic base elements such as rubble and vines. Skink attendants can perch on either side of the Starmaster, one carrying a spear and shield, the other carrying your choice of Seraphon artefacts – each can also be replaced by a small lizard pet. It’s a truly magnificent centrepiece to any Seraphon collection.

This kit comprises 57 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 80mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unassembled and unpainted

As the leaders of the Seraphon, these spell casters are key pieces to the faction at large.

Skink Starseer Retail Price: $60

This multipart plastic kit builds a Skink Starseer – an arcane astrologer riding atop a floating palanquin. The kit can build a Starseer in two different poses – one standing in a feathered cloak, and the other sat down with robes pooling around them. Both varieties carry an astromancer’s staff with a choice of two orrery-heads, and the kit offers a choice of priestly headresses and ornamental collars.

The palanquin also includes cosmetic build options, allowing you to choose between two different constellation-displays and two different inner irises for the astrological ring, as well as a pristine side-panel or a vine-choked carving connected to a scenic base element.

This kit comprises 47 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 50mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unassembled and unpainted

As the helper of the Starmasters, these Starseers are another essential part of the lore for seraphon, but they also bring great support to the tabletop!

Saurus Scar-Veteran on Aggradon Retail Price: $60

This multipart plastic kit builds a Saurus Scar-Veteran on Aggradon – a Seraphon war-leader riding a ferocious, roaring steed. The Scar-Veteran can be armed with a relic celestite spear or club, and comes with three head options – a feathered war-mask, an aggressive snarl, or a mighty roar. Both the Scar-Veteran and their steed are adorned with ornate Seraphon armour and decoration, befitting their status as an elder of the pack – including a saddle-mounted icon of Itzl the Tamer, spawner of cold-blooded beasts.

This kit comprises 30 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 90x52mm Oval Base. This miniature is supplied unassembled and unpainted

This human blender, err… Lizard-blender is devoted to melee power and the model matches that vibe perfectly!

Saurus Astrolith Bearer (delayed in Japan) Retail Price: $45

This multipart plastic kit builds a Saurus Astrolith Bearer – a Seraphon champion entrusted with a reality-shaping totem. The Astrolith Bearer is clad in ancient ceremonial armour taken from the vaults of the Old Ones, and wields a sharp-edged celestite warclub. The astrolith it carries into battle is inscribed with complex geometric and astrological symbols, and visibly crackles with heavenly energy.

This kit comprises 14 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 40mm Round Base. This miniature is supplied unassembled and unpainted

As the last devoted support piece this week, be sure to snag this guy up as these types of units usually can make huge impacts on army performance.

Aggradon Lancers **(delayed in Japan) Retail Price: $60**

This multipart plastic kit builds three Aggradon Lancers – formidable and bloodthirsty Seraphon cavalry. The saurus riders can all be armed with a barbed celestite club or a piercing celestite spear, and each comes with two armoured collars to give you a choice of poses. One model can be built as an Alpha champion – with a choice of unique heads and weapons, alternate arm poses, and a unique shield – one as a War-drummer musician, and one as an imposing Icon Bearer.

The kit provides a wealth of customisation options – six heads and three shields that can be used with any of the riders, as well as interchangeable tails, armour plates, and feather decorations for the aggradons – allowing you to build a varied roster of reptilian riders and steeds.

This kit comprises 95 plastic components, and comes with three Citadel 75x42mm Oval Bases. These miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted

As one of the new Cavalry options, these new Lancers will make a splash on the charge!

Kroxigor Retail Price: $60

This multipart plastic kit builds three Kroxigor – muscular Seraphon who loom over lesser foes. Each Kroxigor wields a spike-studded drakebite maul, and one can instead be armed with an ornate moonstone hammer. The kit offers a wealth of customisation options – every Kroxigor has a choice of two different heads with thick scaled crests, and two arm poses to swing its massive weapon. The kit also includes three distinct maul-heads and five bony tail tips that can be used with any model, as well as a variety of necklaces and scenic base elements.

This kit can alternatively build three Kroxigor Warspawned, aggressive creatures shaped specifically for battle.

This kit comprises 128 plastic components, and comes with three Citadel 50mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted

As one of the coolest of the new model updates, these Kroxigor are sweet! Expect them to be significant elite-level threats that can easily dominate most lesser models in combat.

Raptadon Hunters Retail Price: $65

This multipart plastic kit builds five Raptadon Chargers – skink mage-knights mounted atop swift hunting beasts. Every Charger wears a sacred headdress and wields a mystical Tepok lance – the skinks and their raptadon steeds each have distinctive, dynamic poses, and the kit also includes five moonstone clubs that can hang from belts or saddles. One model can be built as an Alpha champion with a unique head, one as a Hornblower musician, and one as an Icon Bearer carrying a feather-tasseled idol with a choice of two heads.

This kit can alternatively build five Raptadon Hunters, cunning skink cavalry armed with javelins.

This kit comprises 89 plastic components and comes with five Citadel 60x35mm Oval Bases. These miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted

As a slightly more elite cavalry, the Raptadons look like a serious threat, especially with the limited ranged threats in AoS overall.

Saurus Warriors **(delayed in Japan) Retail Price: $60**

This multipart plastic kit builds 10 Saurus Warriors – the scaled shock troops of the Seraphon. Each Saurus Warrior can be armed with a spike-studded celestite club or a long-handled celestite spear, and the kit includes 10 different designs of interchangeable heads and shields, to ensure you can build a varied cohort of cold-blooded soldiers. One model can be built as an Alpha champion – with a unique head, shield, and weapons – one as a War-drummer musician, and one as an Icon Bearer carrying a serpentine idol with a choice of two heads.

As the backbone of Lizardmen lines, the new Saurus Warriors will significantly impact the appearance and feel of Seraphon lists on the tabletop.

**Spawn of Chotec (delayed in Japan) Retail Price: $60**

This multipart plastic kit builds a Spawn of Chotec accompanied by three Sun Acolytes – an acid-spitting beast and its skink tamers. Coated in scales and fins with Old One technology visibly implanted in its skull, the Spawn of Chotec is a striking creature – and the kit includes cosmetic options to make each one into a unique beast. You’ll find two different necks, two different head-fins, and two heads with open or closed jaws.

Each of the Sun Acolytes has a distinctive crest resembling the sunburst of Chotec – two carry pronged celestite goads and pouches of aqthracite crystal, with interchangeable heads and crests, while the third carries a sacred staff with a choice of two holy icons.

This kit comprises 43 plastic components, and comes with a Citadel 90x52mm Oval Base and three Citadel 25mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted

Artillery in AoS can be notoriously strong if protected, and the Seraphon certainly have the tools with their wide variety of large and medium-sized models!

GW New Releases: June 4th

New Death Guard Heroes & Underworlds: New Pricing & Links

Even though the Death Guard models came out a while ago, it’s nice to see them come back, as they cost a ton on the secondary market! Plus, this time, there is a model release that was previously only available in Japan!

Warhammer Underworlds will be getting a bunch of new releases; however, most are delayed in Japan.

Space Marine Heroes 2023 – Death Guard Retail Price: $8.00 each, $64.00 per case of 8 blind boxes

Each box contains a total of eight miniatures, including at least one of each of the following:
– Pustus the Vile, a Malignant Plaguecaster with a corrupted staff
– Gangrus, a Plague Champion armed with a plasma pistol and plague sword
– Morslug, armed with a plague spewer
– Gurg the Foul, armed with a boltgun
– Kholerus, armed with a boltgun and blight grenade
– Scabboth, armed with a flail of corruption
– Clotticus, armed with a plague sword and carrying an icon of despair

Each Space Marine Heroes miniature is a multipart plastic model, cast in green plastic and supplied with a textured rubble base. These kits are push-fit and push-off the frame – so no glue or clippers are required to assemble them. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly

As with all the Heroes blisters, these are some sweet unique models that can easily be used as Squad leaders or even characters.

Warhammer 40,000 Chibi Figures Series 2 $11.50 Each Web Only Order From GW

Each package in Series 2 contains one of the following pre-painted vinyl figures, including a round, black display base:
– Inquisitor
– Commissar
– Tempestus Scion
– Blood Angels Space Marine in MKVII Power Armour
– Crimson Fists Space Marine in MKVI Power Armour

These figures are intended to be used as decorations, and no in-game rules are provided.

Chibi’s aren’t for everyone, but these simple little guys are great for a small conversation starter at your desk If you are into that.

Warhammer Underworlds: Starter Set Retail Price: $60 (Delayed in Japan)

This set contains:
– A 52-page Rulebook
– A 52-page Playthrough booklet
– The complete Farstriders warband – a company of Stormcast Eternals featuring three push-fit miniatures, cast in blue coloured plastic to ensure they stand out even when unpainted, plus fighter cards and a full Rivals deck of warband-specific cards that let you unleash their noble strategies in battle.
– The complete Sepulchral Guard warband – a band of skeletal warriors comprising seven push-fit models, cast in bone coloured plastic, plus fighter cards and a full Rivals deck of warband-specific cards that let you harness their power in battle.
– 2 double-sided, fold-out game boards that can be used to assemble your battlefields
– Warhammer Underworlds tokens, including objectives, wound markers, glory points, and many more
– 8 Dice – 5 Attack dice and 3 Defence dice, enough for the most devastating blows and desperate defences!

The miniatures in this boxed game are supplied unassembled and unpainted.

As the ideal starting point, this box is excellent for anyone looking to test the waters of this game with a buddy. It looks similar to the first starter set for Warhammer Underworlds released in 2017 called Shadespire, which was officially discontinued in 2019.

When it was first released, it sold for $69.99 and contained everything you needed to play the game, like the new starter above.

The Headsmen’s Curse Retail Price: $42 (Delayed Chinese Language Release & Delayed in Japan)

This set includes:
– 4x push-fit The Headsmen’s Curse miniatures – no glue required to assemble, cast in ghostly blue plastic

– 4x double-sided fighter cards, one for each fighter in the warband – Wielder of the Blade, Bearer of the Block, Scriptor of the Sentence, and Sharpener of the Blade

Voidcursed Thralls Rivals Deck Retail Price: $29 (Delayed in Japan)

This deck contains a 33-card universal Rivals deck, consisting of:
– 12x objective cards
– 10x gambit cards
– 10x upgrade cards
– 1x plot card with additional rules for using the Voidcursed Thralls deck

You’ll need a Warhammer Underworlds warband, including their fighter cards, to use the contents of this deck.

GW New Releases: June 11th

Warhammer 40,000: Leviathan Box Pre-Order: $250

This humongous box contains 72 new miniatures split between the Space Marines and the Tyranids.

So the box is, in fact, humongous. If you are a player of either faction or ever considered trying them, this is an excellent option for a starting point going into the 10th edition of Warhammer 40k!

The Emperor’s Angels of Death are represented by an indomitable Captain in Terminator Armour, a Librarian in Terminator Armour, a Primaris Lieutenant in Phobos Armour, an Apothecary Biologis, five immense Terminators, five Sternguard, a sharpshooting Ballistus Dreadnought, and 10 pyreblaster-toting Infernus Marines.

Space Marines have fewer models than the Tyranids in this box, but with every model being new, this is still a super exciting time for fans. Everything looks fantastic.

They are holding the line against the worst that Hive Fleet Leviathan can throw against them, including a savage Winged Tyranid Prime, a brain-melting Neurotyrant and its two Neuroloid lackeys, three Von Ryan’s Leapers, a Psychophage, a swarm of 20 Termagants and two Ripper Swarms, 11 Neurogaunts, five Barbgaunts, and a brutal reimagining of the iconic Screamer-Killer.

As a Xenos faction, they don’t get love as much as the mainstay factions like Space Marines, BUT this release has a ton of goodies and options for Tyranid players!

Besides all these fantastic miniatures, there is a massive special edition hardback Leviathan Core Book, containing all of the contents of the Warhammer 40,000 Core Book (which will be released very shortly after). This weighty grimoire includes the first narrative Crusade Expansion, extensive background lore, and galleries of miniatures for every major faction. We’re not done, because there’s also a 66-card Chapter Approved Mission Card Deck which generates tense and exciting Matched Play missions, and a Space Marines transfer sheet.

This new Hardback core book looks great and is sure to have some unique scenarios in it, but if you want to test out some 10th edition games, you can now grab the 10th ed. core rules online for free to try games yourself!

On top of that, there are a variety of pre-order bonuses available, depending on where you get your copy. If you order via the Games Workshop webstore, you’ll receive a set of two double-sided gaming boards with a total playable area of 30” x 44”. Overall some excellent pre-order bonuses for different groups of players, which is great because stores have gotten the short end of the stick with poor allocations on recent releases. Hopefully, this pre-order bonus helps them out.

GW New Releases: June 25th

New 10th Edition Core Rule Book, Crusade Rules, & More: New Pricing & Links

While Leviathan is sold out pretty much everywhere, you can still score the core rule book! GW did release all the core rules for free, but the rule book will have fluff, plenty of amazing artwork, and also include Crusade rules.

GW hasn’t been very keen on releasing crusade rules for free, so if that’s your favorite game type, you will have to pick up some physical books to get those rules. Either way, if you want a physical book or index cards, this will be the release for you!

10th Edition Core Rule Book Retail Price: $65

The Warhammer 40,000 Core Rules contain everything you need to know in order to wage glorious battle across the war-torn galaxy of the 41st Millennium. These basic rules are used for games of all sizes and styles, and provide a foundation for use with other supplements.

You’ll learn the general principles and core concepts of Warhammer 40,000, the datasheets and characteristics used by your models, and the rules that apply to the five phases of the game: the Command phase, the Movement phase, the Shooting phase, the Charge phase, and the Fight phase. You’ll also find Stratagems and abilities used by all armies, as well as additional rules for elements like Strategic Reserves, terrain features, and aircraft.

Lastly, there are rules for mustering an army, setting up your models for a game, controlling objectives to claim victory, and a mission – Only War – to get you started playing right away.

As with each major edition, you can pick up this one starting this week! Which is perfect for those of us who weren’t interested or couldn’t get Leviathan.

10th Edition Core Rule Book (Collector’s Edition): $230 (GW Exclusive)

This Limited Edition version is restricted to just 1600 individually numbered copies worldwide. In addition to unique cover art and finishing, it also includes a set of six metal objective markers, two rules reference sheets, and five double-sided art prints of previous edition Core Book cover art. Finally, a condensed 64-page version of the Core Rules is also included – meaning you can keep this beautiful and rare tome safely at home while you play your games.

10th Edition Faction Index Cards: Pricing Varies, See Below

Next week you’ll also be able to pre-order a set of physical Index cards for every faction in Warhammer 40,000. These provide all the datasheets for that faction, plus their army rules and a themed Detachment. These are already available for free online in a regularly updated PDF format, but these physical cards give you a handy resource to use at the table and save time swiping through your phone or tablet.

40k JOYTOY Terminator Captain: $76.69

At first glance, they packed some great detail into this figure, and he looks very much like the mini! He doesn’t have a crazy amount of extra parts, but plenty to get him in a bunch of poses.

Overall, just a great model, and if your small Terminators see him, they better perform on the battlefield!

40k JOYTOY Primaris Captain: $44.90

While we’ve had a lot of Ultramarines, it’s always cool to get more characters!

His power sword is pretty giant and awesome! Plenty big enough to cut through those new Tyranids. Again, he doesn’t have a ton of bits, but you can go without or without the cape, and you don’t even have to wear a helmet if you’re too cool.

New Primarch Guilliman Pre-Order: $143

At first glance, they packed all sorts of detail into this figure!

You’ll also get two head options with the figure, but that only makes sense, as you need to have the option to be too cool for helmets if you want it! If you have him on the table watching over your games, how can you possibly lose?

New Grandmaster Voldus: $80

Nothing quite matches the flair of a named character! As a Terminator, Voldus will be a pretty decent size. If you have him on the table watching over your games, you’ll have his blessing while hunting daemons. (he is an excellent Psyker, after all)

New Blood Angels Assault Terminators: $378

It’s always awesome to get full squads, and what’s more intimidating than some assault terminators? From the looks of it, these don’t have an insane number of bits, but they still look great, and we expect them to be super articulate.

They even give them some serious fangs, which is just awesome!

Ultramarine Primaris Chaplain Brother Varus: $66

This is possibly the coolest Chaplain we’ve seen yet! Picking this up will really buff up your collection. He doesn’t have a huge number of options, but plenty to make some really cool dioramas!
