The Bandai Primaris Space Marines could be shipping in May! Check out the latest for when we could be seeing it turn up at our doorsteps!
Bandai’s Marine Figure was originally for special order only and was announced as a very limited run. Well, as far as we know all of the orders were filled at shipped to GW with only one problem: COVID-19.
The crisis that shut down the world might have also slowed the Bandai Marine’s release in the European, Australian, and North American markets. But with the recent news that GW’s webstore is opened up to certain parts of the world, those Bandai Marines that have been hanging out in limbo might be starting to make their way to everyone who ordered them soon!
Bandai Primaris Space Marines Arriving In Some Markets
Earlier on, we saw pictures from hobby hero Scott Rubin of the figure as well as the packaging from a past event. Here are some close-up shots!
Similar to when all the pre-painted Funko POP! minis released and we saw people painting over them in their colors, we’re sure we’ll be seeing the same thing happen for this guy as well. Let’s face it. Not everyone wants to be an Ultramarine.
As for the packaging, it comes in a dope, fully enclosed packaging- perfect for storing it on the shelf keeping it in mint condition, and watching it become a collectible.
Bandai Primaris Space Marines Arriving In Some Markets Already
Coming from Alex Carros on Spikey Bits Hobbies, he managed to already get his out of the box weeks before anybody else.
If you’re still waiting on yours, the reason why he might’ve gotten his so early is that he ordered his from a Japanese hobby website. Now don’t get discouraged. If you live in the U.S and ordered yours through regular means, it probably won’t be long before you get yours either. Once the GW warehouse opens back up from the crisis impact.
Bandai Marines Spotted Hitting GW’s Warehouse
Using a little port scrying, it looks like something from Bandai hit US ports two months ago. Plus, the only time we’ve ever heard of Bandai working with Games Workshop is for the Primaris figure and chibis (but those have already been spotted on shelves for sale).
Advertised as only 9,000 made, its unclear if that means just the US/ North American market alone. The numbers may support that conclusion as 897 cartons look to have made their way to the US. It’s unclear though what the carton count is, but assuming it is ten, that would put roughly 9,000 of these models having arrived at the Memphis, TN warehouse.
We Could See the Bandai Marine Ship in May
With GW’s webstore opening up to certain parts of the world, we may see fans that live in those regions get their Bandai Marines quicker than we thought. They mentioned clearing out the back orders from their webstore before taking new orders, which may mean that all those Bandai marines that may have shown up at their Warehouse will also get fulfilled soon!
However, it’s important to note that, as of right now, certain regions in the world still aren’t able to order from GW’s webstore. Mainly because of the impact of the crisis in their area.
According to Warhammer Community the USA, Australia/NZ, Italy, and Canada warehouses are still closed:
Countries That CAN Order:
With that said, if you’re one of the regions that are still on lockdown from GW’s business, you may have to wait a bit longer for your Bandai special orders. But one thing is for sure. With the trade channels opened back up in Europe, we should be seeing more and more people get their Bandai Marines. That can only mean that Italy, Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Canada will follow suit once a bit more time has passed and GW can clear out all their warehouses’ backorders.
Once you get your new Bandai Marine, will you be painting him to the colors of your Chapter? Have you gotten any confirmation that your Marine has shipped?
