Games Workshop did not fail to disappoint in the latest previews of what’s coming. take a look at what’s ahead of us in the hobby timeline!
Warhammer Community just revealed the latest previews for what is on the way to the gaming community. Orks, Sisters of Battle, Warhammer Underworlds and more have all been updated! Check out the latest:
Be sure to check out our LIVE Q&A Updates from the preview as well for a wealth more of information that was not published by our friends at Games Workshop!
More Speed Freeks
Speed Freeks is looking up to me like some kind of Wasteland demolition derby with an Orky twist. But how is a Warboss supposed to keep up with the need for speed? With a Wartrike, of course!
Look familiar? that’s because we saw it in an earlier preview. The Ork looked bigger in the previewed post. He actually is bigger than a normal Ork but it’s not quite what we thought.
Dakka Dakka!
Just as a little teaser for the Ork codex, Warhammer Community gave us this.
Previously seen as a Stratagem in Chapter Approved 2017, we’ve added this as a special rule on EVERY Orks unit that works ALL the time. You’ll never, ever hit on worse than a 6 – and you’ll get an extra shooting attack for free when you do so. If you believe in yourself, you can hit anything…
Sisters of (Bit)tle
More Sisters bits made it to the surface as well. We’ve already seen some models previewed before like Boltguns and swords.
These bits are absolutely stunning and they’re keeping the classic helmet/haircut style too. Oh, but that’s not all. 2018 Chapter approved has something in store for the Sisters.
This year’s Chapter Approved will feature a beta codex for the Adepta Sororitas – and we’re inviting you to try it out. You’ll have access to a huge pool of units, Stratagems, Relics and Warlord Traits to represent the orders of the Adepta Sororitas in your games – and your feedback on how you find them will help us make the final codex as awesome as it can possibly be.
GW is calling for all players to be involved in the beta testing for Sisters of Battle. There will be Stratagems, Relics, and Warlord Traits to combo with each other and send feedback to the developers themselves.
Sir Hektur Spotted
Sir Hekhtur will be available in a brand-new box that features parts for every single Questoris-class Knight, alongside new weapons for the Knight Preceptor and components that let you build detailed interior cockpits and scions for your household. What’s more, it’ll cost no more than the Knight Gallant set – essentially, we’ve thrown in an awesome extra frame for free!
Keep an eye out for Sir Hektur hitting the shelves sometime in September.
There will also be Knight Emblem transfer sheets for your favorite Knightly Households.
After popular demand, GW slapped your favorite Household emblems on a transfer sheet to bring your models that much further along in your hobby adventure.
Warhammer Underworlds: Nightvault
Nightvault is season 2 of Warhammer Underworlds, bringing eight new warbands, hundreds of cards and new mechanics to the game.
In keeping up with the events in AoS 2.0, GW is showcasing Nighthaunt and Stormcast Warbands first.
The Nighthaunt Chainrasp Warband are going to be lead by the Wraith Witch (i.e Briar Queen).
Nightvault also features a brand new system of magic spells – powerful gambits and attack actions usable only by sorcerers. Spells add an additional layer of tactical depth to the game, as well as a number of interesting considerations when building your deck, promising to shake up tournaments (not to mention your games with your mates) considerably.
Be on the lookout for spells being introduced into Warhammer Underworlds. This will be an entirely new phase of the game.
With new Warbands comes new cards!
Speaking of Warbands, the Squig is going to be a model for a coming faction. Look similar to something we’ve seen before?
This was previewed earlier by Warhammer Community. The Fungus Troll and Squig look like they’ll be fighting for the same team.
Battle for Middle Earth
With Battle for Pelennor Fields on the way, GW felt like it was time to update some models. Gandalf and Pippin will be making their way into the game very soon as well.
