Clear your schedules; a new Games Workshop Warhammer preview is coming to the Nova Open, and GW already showed off a new Orruk Boss miniature!
Things have been a little slow in the past few weeks, but the Nova Open preview reveal will change things up and give us plenty more to look forward to. For those of you unaware, the Nova Open is a four-day tabletop and gaming convention that’s taking place in late August this year in Washington, DC.
In addition to all the events set to take place, there will also be a Warhammer Preview for all the exciting new stuff GW has cooked up that’ll be coming soon.
Let’s go ahead and take a look at what all the previews will cover!
Games Workshop Nova Open Preview Schedule
The latest on the Games Workshop Nova Open previews come from Warhammer Community.
This massive preview will cover Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer Age of Sigmar, The Horus Heresy, Blood Bowl, Warhammer Underworlds, Warcry, and The Old World, making it a must-see for everyone.
It looks like there will be a lot planned for this preview! Practically every game under the GW umbrella will supposedly have something planned for this stream. For the reveals, we expect to see the new Space Marine miniatures promised from GW and maybe even the new Tyranids codex!
Obviously, we’ll see more Orruks and possibly another Dawnbringers book. Then, we might finally get a sniff of the actual game release for Warhammer Old World!
New Orruk Ardboy Big Boss
With one of these muscled veterans at the helm of an Ironjawz force, those surly greenskins become a colossal fist of muscle and armour ready to smash aside even the most entrenched army. When they do eventually join the battle lines, all semblance of strategy leaves their head and they are swept up by the bone-shattering violence around them.
If you’re a big fan of Orruks or AOS, you don’t even have to wait for the preview to get excited, as alongside news of the event, they also dropped a reveal for this bad boy!
The Ardboy Big Boss is just a sign of things to come – there will be even more brutal reveals coming straight to Warhammer Community from the NOVA Open, which will be happening on Wednesday the 30th of August, or early on Thursday the 31st of August depending on your time zone.
Be sure to tune into the Nova Open reveal stream to see what is planned for the future of your favorite Warhammer format!
What to (Probably) Expect
First up for 40k, we expect to see the rest of the Space Marine models; considering the Tyranids won the campaign, we still have plenty of new Space Marines to see! Then, we heard rumors about the Tyranids codex dropping in September, meaning we could see the codex revealed as well.
GW put out the roadmap and confirmed that the Orruks will follow the Cities of Sigmar, so it’s not too crazy to see them coming next.
Next up, a bunch of Bretonnian minis were promised, so maybe we’ll finally see a launch-style box with the new rules announced, or maybe just more minis. But what we really want to see is the game launch date!
With a good spread of different faction releases, Underworlds looks to have a pretty balanced year of releases, and we should see plenty of them this weekend.
