Sure, we’ve seen a few teasers about new 40k here and there over the past weeks, however here’s the latest straight from GW now and in case you’re just tuning in, have we seen anything before?

Before we dive into the very latest on rumored Primaris units, it’s important to bring to light this hoax that was spotted earlier.

New Primaris Unit Rumors: Previous Hoaxes

confractor squad 1Volt hit the forums saying:

Fresh from the /tg/ presses, dunno if it’s fake or not, but it sure sounds interesting from the name. I’m guessing some kind of Dark Angel special unit? Looking up the definition of the word (as I sure haven’t seen that before)

Looking at the definition of Confractor, it literally means “a breaking in pieces”. Right away, this sounds like some kind of siege unit. And based on the T4, two-wound statline combined with Frag & Krak wargear, it looks like it’s some kind of new Primais unit.

space marine wal championA lot of people were hoping that this would be some kind of melee-focused unit like a Primaris with storm shields. Similar to what was seen of this artwork of an Iron Hands Marine fighting forces of Nurgle…As bad as we would love to see a melee unit of Primaris (especially for Blood Angels players) that may not be the case…

Confractor Datasheet Leaves Signs of Photoshop

Once you deep-fry the datasheet, you can see the transition of the text for the unit isn’t uniform at all. The word “Confract” comes with a pixelated background that is blocked off from the word “Squad”. If you notice, the “or” in “Confractor” shares the same smooth black background as the word “Squad” as well. This could be snatched from a multitude of different Primaris datasheets like the word “Intercessor”. It looks like someone might have found the same font and text size, typed in “Confractor”, and got a little lazy with covering their tracks. Now let’s get into the latest pic making rounds across the web!

New units Emerge: Primaris Bikes, Land Speeders & More SPOTTED?

primaris units rumor pic 1Like we said, this is a bigfoot sighting-level picture that looks to be taken with someone’s toaster. However, we can still see clear details of new models that all look to be Primaris.

This less-pixelated pic, but not any less blurry pic was spotted on Dakka Dakka posted by a user named Crimson as well. Now let’s break down each big piece.

Debunking What’s Been Spotted

primaris units rumor pic 3At the bottom left side of the photo, it looks like a possible Primaris Baal Predator. The turret has some strong similarities to the flamer turret on the Predator sitting on what we can guess is a Repulsor chassis.

At the very center of the frame, while it looks massive, appears to be some kind of Primaris Land Speeder. It’s got the front half of the Repulsor/Impulsor vibe while the back half has the open Land Speeder cockpit. Being Primaris, we can also expect this thing to have plenty of firepower. We can almost make out what looks to be two missile pods at the top of the vehicle. But the main takeaway for this thing is that it’s BIG for a Land Speeder.

Moving to the top right of the frame, we can see some obvious Biker models with bigger bases than all the ones that were just thrown into Warhammer Legends.  Moving on, it would make sense for GW to come out with a Primaris version of bikes with the existence of White Scars as well as the extinction of all normal Marine Biker units. One interesting thing about these models is that they’re the first Primaris non-infantry unit to NOT hover.

Finally, there are two units that are either too blurry or are cut off from the frame to make out what they could be. They’ve been marked with a “?” in the photo above. While the dark spot near the center could just be something like a Chaplain, there is also the possibility of another unit to come. And for the unit in the bottom right, it looks like it could be possible an Impulsor’s back half. Although, with all these new units cluttered around it, we can’t say for sure.

New Primaris Assault Intercessor Marines Announced

This is the teaser that we originally saw during the stream.

chainsword primarisCombat is on the way for Primaris models now with at least one new model coming to hopefully a new multi-part kit set soon!

Pistol ready to deliver the Emperor’s Justice!

New Primaris chainsword sized bit perhaps?

Looks like there is at least one new kit on the way for Space Marines, but if the size of this preview was any indication, it is certainly not the last for 9th edition.
