RUMORS: 2 New Eldar Phoenix Lord Models On The Way

By Travis Pasch | December 9th, 2021 | Categories: 40k News & Articles, Eldar, Warhammer Rumors & News

chaos rumors new wal hor warhammer games workshopIt’s an Eldar tidal wave of news and rumors, this time the word on the street is to expect two new Eldar Phoenix Lord models- here is the latest.

The rumors have been going crazy even before the Advent Engine started for the Eldar on the Games Workshops site. With the Advent Engine, it finally feels real and we are going to see what many say will be the first fill Eldar update since Bill Clinton was president of the United States.

However, if you’ve been following the Eldar rumor calendar, they even said that those rumors were coming from an older playtest version in their disclaimer, so not too surprising.

Today we have the first of many rumors from a third source who claims that their information is from the actual codex book, and we think they are pretty solid because they follow along pretty closely with some of the Rumor Engines images we’ve seen so far.

But remember folks at the end of the day the only thing for sure about any of this is that they are 100% still just rumors.

RUMORS: 2 New Eldar Phoenix Lord Models On The Way

asurman phoenix lord oldLet’s start with Asurmen, considering he needs a rework possibly more than anyone! Here’s the rumor for the new model:

Similar to the old model, but the helmet is more layered-samurai-like and he stands on a huge column with a relief of battling Eldar.

rumor engine 12-08-21We’re not sure how big the column will be, but the idea sounds awesome! We also saw the Rumor Engine above and it could easily be the top of his new helmet. Now let’s see what could be changing with the Dire Avengers.

Dire Avengers Exarch: one to one 2nd edition cover rendition.

Dire Avenger ArtworkThey actually had the model from back then looking very similar to this. We’ll have to see how close to a copy of this they come out with, but it’s definitely cool!

Dire Avenger ExarchTo be honest, the current mini isn’t too far off the artwork, so we could see them just updating the look, and going old school has really been their forte lately. Just look at the Black Templars release. They also did a copy of old artwork in the Castellan, so this isn’t too far out there.

Karandras Model Rumors

KarandrasKarandras might be one of the least dynamic characters left in the game, so we really don’t mind an update! Here are the rumors:

Slightly crouching on top of ruins. The claw is even smaller than the old version, but the chainsword is massive. The segmentation of the scorpion helm is similar to the Drukhari armor style, but the rest is Craftworld style with these yellow scorpion bars, except that Karandras is in very dark green and the bars are bone-colored. There are pictures of this miniature and Drazhar next to each other and the arc on the base is a continuation of one of Drazhar’s stone arcs.

advent engine 12-04-21As you can see, from this recent rumor engine, the stone arc is going in the correct direction to connect with Drazhar’s. The foot does look a little different, but hey, who knows how they will change that. Either way we’re excited for an update as they really need it!

Other than that though, we think Eldar players will be happy so far with this tidal wave of Eldar news and rumors for all things Aeldari. Use the links below to check out our other coverage:
