Is it Worth It?
Unfortunately, this has one of the lowest values of all the boxes, and $85ish of it comes in from characters and the upgrade sprue. So, if you need everything inside and really want the upgrade sprue, you will get the Apothecary for free. If you don’t want every single thing inside, then it would actually be cheaper to buy everything on its own. It’s sad to say… but true.
How Many Points Is This?
So, you’re wondering how many points the Deathwatch Combat Patrol box racks up, eh? Well, in Warhammer 40k 10th edition, this box hits with about 350-400 points. Intercessors
A reliable and versatile crew of warriors who can fire while moving or securing terrain is a tactician’s best friend. For strike forces reinforced with Primaris battle-brothers, the Intercessor Squads take on this role.
These squads are masters of unleashing overlapping waves of firepower and often become the adaptable backbone of newly-founded Primaris Chapters. Naturally, established Chapters haven’t missed out on their potential, deploying them alongside their Tactical Squads with gusto.
Aggressors
Wearing hefty Gravis armor, Aggressor Squads march towards the enemy like walking fortresses of ceramite. More mobile than many of their Space Marine peers, they handle rough terrain with ease, making them versatile troops.
Often deployed in specific situations or on challenging terrain, these squads also serve as reserves to fill gaps in gun lines or to lead a charge. Their weapons may not have the longest range, but once they’re close enough, they unleash a devastating barrage of large-caliber bolter shells that can obliterate enemy assaults.
Primaris Lieutenant
Lieutenants are basically the Captain’s wingmen, offering tactical support and guiding their troops in battle. They’re the go-to folks for leading a demi-company or strike force, managing the nitty-gritty of squad-level combat, and shining as role models. This lets the Captains zero in on the big picture of the whole war zone without sweating the small stuff.
Primaris Apothecary
The Apothecaries are the rockstars of the Space Marines, holding a special place of honor. They’re the battlefield’s go-to medics, patching up their brothers in the heat of combat. New Deathwatch Combat Patrol Rules
As you’d expect from a Combat Patrol built for close combat mayhem, the Vigil Force Alphion comes loaded with rules to help you blitz across the battlefield. The Deathwatch may be all about Xenos Hunting, but they’re still Space Marines at heart, rocking the same Oath of Moment army rule as before.

Aegis Vigilate Rule
This ancient adamantine mantle was crafted by the legendary artificer Solomonius Derante, who supposedly spent a hundred years studying every alien threat known to humanity. He packed all that knowledge into this masterpiece, ensuring it would protect the Deathwatch against the galaxy’s darkest horrors.
Effect? Models in the bearer’s unit get +1 to their Toughness and also have a 4+ invulnerable save. Tough as nails and hard to crack!
Stratagem
Every Deathwatch battle-brother is a hardened veteran with razor-sharp survival instincts and a surplus of grit. Until the end of the phase, your models get the Feel No Pain 5+ ability. If they’ve got the Gravis keyword, they get an even tougher Feel No Pain 4+ ability instead. Tough to put down!
What to Buy Next?
Considering this has so little inside in terms of actual full units, you basically still have to build your full army from here. So, we’d say grab whatever you think looks cool and start painting. It’s hard to say what will be good in the meta as 40k can change so often, so we’d go with what models you like the most, as this box doesn’t really push you into a single path for the army.
