This is How Many Gaunt’s Ghosts & Cadians Stores are Getting

GW-allocationsIf you want to grab the new boxes you might have a chance as the allocations for Gaunt’s Ghosts and the Cadian boxes aren’t that bad.

Looks like Pre-Covid allocations (or at least close) are coming for all the new Gaunt’s Ghosts and Cadian boxes. Everything else this week will be webstore only, so the limits on those are basically unknown. Some of the limited edition books will most likely sell out fast though, so if you want them, get on it early.

For now, though, let’s check out what goes on pre-order this week, and then take a look at how many of each will be available, and round it up with our thoughts on the matter.

ghaunts ghostsFeast your eyes on the new plastic kit featuring Ibram Gaunt and five of the most well-known Ghosts from their early years. In addition to being a great collector’s piece, they’re brilliant on the tabletop too. Stay tuned next week as we take a look at how to deploy them in your games of Warhammer 40,000.

If you have read any of the books you know how badass these guys were, if not, they definitely look amazing and might be good on tabletop too!

Cadian Shock Troops Upgrade Sprue $45

cadian upgrades

candian shock sprueYour squads are more customisable than ever before with 25 new heads (seriously, count them), a full complement of special weapons, and some extra bits and pieces for your long-suffering Sergeants.

While it definitely would have been nice to get a new Cadian kit, an upgrade sprue is the next best thing. If you are a dedicated player, these sprues will add a ton of variation to your forces. Just note, this did end up raising the price from the base kit which was $36. So you get more, but you also pay more.

Lizardmen Team Card Pack $27, Dice Set $15, and Double-sided Pitch and Dugout Set $47

Meanwhile, under the loving gaze of Nuffle, a set of releases is coming for one of Blood Bowl’s more monstrous teams. A Team Card Pack, Dice Set, and Double-sided Pitch and Dugout Set is available to pre-order for Lizardmen teams from Saturday. If you coach this team, it’s a good week to add some crucial accessories to your roster.

While they might not be getting a big update, these be additions will help you feel like they did. All-in-all a welcome update.

This is How Many Gaunt’s Ghosts Stores are Getting

Listed to the right of each product are the allocations numbers (called “caps” now from GW) to stores from Games Workshop North America.

Like we said before, at least there is some good news this time, as the Gaunt’s Ghosts box can be ordered up to 15, hopefully, this means whoever wants them can get them and the secondary market scalpers leave them alone.

  • Gaunt’s Ghosts 15 ea.
  • Cadian Shock Troops 30 ea.
  • Blood Bowl & Black Library (Webstore Exclusive Allocations Are Unknown)

The higher price for Gaunt and his troops will probably mean 15 is enough per store. 30 each for the new Cadian box should be more than enough unless every Guard player decides it’s time for new minis. This isn’t quite to full numbers like we saw Pre-Covid, but it’s definitely another step in the right direction.

As last week stores also got way more than before and were able to order up to 30 for most of the Sisters’ releases, so at least this time we didn’t only have negative news to report!

What do you think of the latest round of allocations from Games Workshop? Good, bad, or more of the same?
