new-emperors-champion-warhammer-40k-exclusive-warhammer-day-2022The Warhammer Day 2022 exclusive 40k miniature has been announced for 40k, and the Black Templars Emperor’s Champion takes center stage!

We talked a couple of weeks ago about expecting some previews for Warhammer Day, and here’s the first one! Generally, they come out with a bunch of cool previews for new miniatures, so it looks like this will just be the tip of the iceberg. Especially considering this is the 35th anniversary of 40k, we hope they go big with it!

It also looks like the preview will focus solely on Warhammer 40k, so something to keep in mind.

Warhammer Community unveiled the new mini along with the release date and the preview date. Let’s take a closer look!

Warhammer Day 2022 Exclusive Emperor’s Champion Miniature & Preview Announced!

Warhammer Day is the global celebration of your favourite hobby and this year it’s extra special, as we commemorate the 35th anniversary of Warhammer 40,000! We’ll take a nostalgic look back to see what’s made the grim darkness of the far future the setting that it is today, and look forward to what’s coming next.

Entitled Bayard’s Revenge, this astounding model features an Emperor’s Champion triumphing over a mighty Ork Nob. It’s an incredible miniature to add to your collection, an amazing painting challenge, or a splendid centrepiece for a Black Templars force. And what’s more, it’s based on an iconic piece of Warhammer 40,000 artwork.

You’ll be able to pre-order this incredible duel from the 8th of October from the Games Workshop webstore, or you can pick one up from your local shop between the 15th and 23rd.

This exclusive Emperor’s Champion miniature model is actually just really, really cool! We’re guessing it will be MTO so that everyone can get one, but they may do just a regular sale, and in that case, be sure to get on the pre-order early.

However, you’ll also be able to pick one up from your local store. They don’t exclusively say whether this will be just GW stores or not. When you click on the store finder link, though, it includes independent retailers, so we hope LGS can indeed take advantage as well!

We’ll also have a very special Online Preview on the 8th of October, where we’ll reveal loads of awesome new Warhammer 40,000 miniatures. Plus, one very lucky Warhammer fan will win all of the reveals from the Online Preview! We’ll have news very soon on how you can take part in this special competition, and become the envy of all your friends.

We assume this will include tons of stuff for both Imperial Guard and World Eaters, as rumors are floating around of new units, some even confirmed by GW. Other than that, we’re not super sure what else will be shown, but there’s always a chance this is when they drop hints at 10th edition.

Either way, it’s only a few weeks off now, and it should be big for the 35th anniversary of Warhammer 40k!
