How did Inceptors make out in the middle of all the coming Space Marine datasheet changes? Take a look at their newly formatted profile as we dig into their wargear and stats. New 9th Edition Primaris Inceptor Datasheets Spotted
These guys were first seen out of the Dark Imperium Box Set when 8th Edition rolled around. They went from Assault Bolters as their only wargear to some dope assault plasma pistols. While they’re one of the most mobile Primaris units to take, they’re still considered slow when compared to the firstborn Marine standards. They do have jump packs but with a flat 10″ move, you may be a couple of inches shy of where you want to get to.
Luckily, all their wargear is assault meaning you can sacrifice a little bit of accuracy and squeeze out a few extra inches to grab an objective.
Looking at their datasheet they’re totally unchanged from their current profile, except for the new IKEA like icons.
While you might have been hoping for some tweaks to wargear or mobility, the silver lining is that you know pretty much exactly how these guys will perform on the tabletop in the future. If you were holding out on grabbing a couple of Inceptors, you can have peace of mind they aren’t getting NERFed into the ground.
