GW Releases New 40k Tau FAQ & Updates All Factions Power Levels

new-tau-faq-warhammer-40kGW has dropped a new Tau FAQ, and updated all the power levels in Warhammer 40k, along with some of Chapter Approved 2022.

You know the drill, the book has been out for a little while now, so it’s time for GW to clean it up some. Nothing is huge but stuff is changing! If you want to see everything for yourself that is changing with the Tau in this FAQ, you can download all of them here.

We’ll cover some of the big changes here for you and since they are small, show pretty much everything. Even though this isn’t huge, it’s good to take a look and see what’s changing.

GW also did a huge Power Rating change, that’s about 43 pages long that you can download here. They also updated a few things from the Chapter Approved 2022 book that helps things like Phoenix Lords stay in faction when army building.

Since not too many people use it, we’ll let you go check out the differences on that. Let’s check out the changes with the FAQ.

GW Drops New 40k Tau FAQ

Tau FAQUsually, the changes are just to get the wording right, or less confusing. First up, the Vectored Manoeuvering was changed to be Battlesuit only (they also added such wording to a few other weapons and items), but that’s probably what they meant from the get-go. Next, Disengagement Protocols adds in the Infantry keyword.

They cleared some things up as well with drones, where you can only have drones from the same Sept. Next, it’s pretty obvious they didn’t want Pathfinders to have fly, but we’re sure some people tried to get that keyword used for the whole unit.

Tau FAQ 2This is a good clarification, as it doesn’t specifically say they can do something and perform an action. So nothing too crazy overall, but still good to know!

So far the new updates to infantry and battlesuits seem to be just what the doctor ordered for the Tau rules-wise in 9th edition!  Here’s all the latest on the new Tau codex rules updates and points changes for Warhammer 40k.
