The new 10th Edition 40k Tyranids Psychophage rules are pretty interesting and all about destroying enemy psykers!
GW has been pumping out the new 10th Edtion rules, and we’ve already seen the army-wide rules for Tyranids, which you can check out here. However, it’s still nice to see what the new models in the Leviathan box will do, as it’s nice to know what the minis can do before you spend cash on them, and the pre-order is right around the corner!

New 10th Edition 40k Tyranids Psychophage Rules Revealed!
The new rules come from Warhammer Community.
That Anti-Psyker ability combined with Devastating Wounds means that you’re causing mortal wounds to PSYKERS on each Wound roll of 2+. Farseers, Infernal Masters, and Living Ancestors will all be quaking in their boots.
If you’re going against psykers, this will really shine, as on a 2+; you deal two mortal wounds! Even against big infantry units, it should still be quite helpful (especially against Space Marines with D2).
The Torrent ability means this vile belch of psychocorrosive ash automatically hits its target, while Ignores Cover prevents them from hiding in terrain. Once you’ve inflicted some harm – or got an allied swarm to do it for you – the Psychophage goes into a feeding frenzy, like a shark detecting a drop of blood in the water.
A strength six flamer is always going to be strong!
It may seem like the Psychophage is a fussy eater, but with the weapons at its disposable, it’s quite happy to eat anything that’s foolish enough to get close, not just psykers. Just be sure to get some of the smaller critters to grab toothbrushes and help with all of those teeth afterwards.
This is actually insane when you think about psykers, as you’ll be hitting on a 2+ and doing mortals on a 2+.
