Don’t miss GW’s new previews from over the weekend as Gotrek, Enforcers, Warcry, Blood Bowl, and 40k Blackstone Fortress are all getting new miniatures!
Over the weekend, Warhammer Community revealed a hefty batch of models coming to their specialist games. From Enforcers in Necromunda to the Corvus Cabal in Warcry, we’ll be going over all the latest!
Gotrek Gets A Model
After a handful of books being written about this guy, GW surprised us with a model for him. For the record, this is probably one of the coolest bases we’ve ever seen! Look for him this September along with his two new stories.
Enforcers Announced For Necromunda
Enforcers were previewed with an entirely new batch of models reworked from the ground up. The cool thing about these guys is that they can actually bring bolters instead of autoguns. In a game where everyone without a special weapon is just plinking things with S3 firepower, a Bolter turns into a serious threat.
Warcry: Corvus Cabal Warband Revealed
The Corvus Cabal is another primal-themed Warband that worships a feathered black bird called The Great Gatherer. Can you imagine fighting these guys in real life? They’re the dudes that probably just scream CA-CAW while running straight at you flapping their arms.
Seriously though, these models are sick. Going by model-posing alone, there might only be two or three dudes that can actually do some damage in the fight. The shirtless dudes with beaks are probably going to be sword-fodder.
Athelorn Avengers Blood Bowl Team
Wood Elves have been reinvented with new faces and foresty-themed sports suits. This team is going to be agile (as most elves are) and should be able to finesse the opponent all the way to victory.
Blackstone Fortress: Escalation
Escalation is the next expansion into the Blackstone Fortress quest line. With new enemies and adventurers, you’ll be able to dive right back into the game refreshed!
In this latest expansion, Obsidius Mallex has gained control of a portion of the alien space station’s apocalyptic power, and now threatens to bring it to bear against his foes. Before, you were battling for treasure – now, you’re fighting for survival.
If you’re wanting to suit up for adventure with a new character, Escalation will also be bringing in a Servitor, a Tech Priest, a Rogue Trader, a Psyker, and a Crusader.
Escalation will be the first time fans outside of the USA and Germany can get their hands on these models (if you’re in the USA or Germany, you’ll also be able to track them down in the Combat Arena game).
As for the new bad guys, they’ll be lead by the dude with a flame staff. His other followers are a band of some twisted new Cultist models. Hopefully, we’ll see a kit for these guys come out in the future.
