This Warhammer rumor engine preview appears to be a monstrous hand holding a rock with a fossil in it, but what could it be?
Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed.

New Rumor Engine Preview: February 17th, 2026
This rumor engine is clearly a rock with a fossil being held by some creature! The nails, likely missing finger, and size all point to a more monstrous humanoid. The cloth also points to Kruleboyz being the most likely, meaning this guy is probably about to hurl that rock at some poor soul!
Naturally, another creature is possible, but Old World and Age of Sigmar are the clear candidates for this engine.
As you can see with this spread of the initial releases for Kruleboyz, they have a real grungy look to them, and have the right cloth/armor feel. These all have a full set of fingers, so maybe they are getting a new monster in their lineup, the pinky is just behind the rock this time?
Otherwise, specialist games have plenty of potential too! Either way, this is a rumor engine with tons of possible options; it will be cool to see the future model when it is revealed!
