The Next Primarch Miniature is… Angron (and Lotara too)

Gw revealed their newest primarch model, Angron Transfigured, and a model for the mistress of the Conquerer, Lotara.

The World Eaters are getting some serious reinforcements for the Horus Heresy, and it’s safe to say these two characters are at the heart of their brutal legacy. Angron, now a fully warped instrument of the Blood God, and Lotara Sarrin, the iron-willed captain of The Conqueror, are stepping onto the battlefield in stunning new miniatures. fire the Ursus Claws!

Yup, that’s right, first Horus, then Fugrim, and now Angron arrives with a miniature update in Forge World resin as he was at the height of the Heresy.  Best of all, these two new models bring a weighty presence to any Heresy collection.

Angron Transfigured: A Primarch Consumed by Rage

Angron’s fate was never going to be one of quiet reflection or tactical brilliance. He was a creature of war, and thanks to the machinations of Lorgar, his transformation into a daemon primarch sealed his descent into madness. This new model captures that horrifying change in every detail. From the ragged, gore-streaked wings to the countless chains and skulls, Angron Transfigured is the embodiment of destruction.

His weapons, simply known as the Blades of the Red Angel, are savage and brutal, perfectly fitting for a warrior who never cared much for craftsmanship—only efficiency in slaughter. The model’s sculpt emphasizes his overwhelming fury, with every part of him looking like it’s barely contained before he launches into another blood-soaked rampage. If you’re looking for a centerpiece that screams raw aggression, this is it.

Lotara Sarrin: Commander of The Conqueror

Not every legend of the World Eaters wielded chainaxes or drank deep from the cup of Khorne’s madness. Lotara Sarrin stood apart, commanding the flagship of the World Eaters with an iron grip and a sharp mind. Her presence in the Legion was an anomaly, yet she earned the respect of Angron and Khârn alike.

Unlike the berserk warriors under her command, Lotara relied on precision and discipline. She wasn’t a warrior by trade, but even Khârn saw fit to train her in swordplay, presenting her with a power blade called The Conqueror’s Bite—a name she reportedly hated. Her model captures this defiant attitude, standing firm in a universe where everything around her is drenched in chaos and bloodshed.

Final Thoughts

Both miniatures are set to receive rules in an upcoming digital download, giving players the opportunity to field them in their games. Angron Transfigured (like his brother Fulgrim) will undoubtedly be a whirlwind of destruction, cutting through enemies with ease. Lotara, on the other hand, is likely to excel in Zone Mortalis battles, leading void-based assaults with tactical precision.

Some of you may even remember that Angron was the first in the initial primach miniature series from Games Workshop in 2012, which ended with Jaghatai Khan 10 years later in 2022. There has yet to be an Emperor of Mankind model, but we are pretty fond of this one instead.

For those who love the Horus Heresy era and its most infamous characters, these releases are shaping up to be a must-have. Whether you’re planning to run a World Eaters legion army or simply want a striking piece for display, these models capture the raw energy and narrative weight of the era.
