GW Reveals Mortarion, Death Guard & Daemons 40k Datasheets on Stream!

new-rules-codex-warhammer-40k-datacards-index-10th-Edition

All these new 10th Edition Datasheets rules were revealed for Death Guard and Chaos Daemons units during a live stream 40k Exhibition game.

With the new edition here, seeing more datasheets is always good, especially for something that’s not Space Marines or Tyranids! They revealed all kinds of units, a few starts, and even the full datasheet for Mortarion (who is looking quite beefy in the new edition!)

All the sheets were spotted during the live Kansas City broadcast game, which you can watch at this link.

10th edition year 1 roadmapFrom the looks of it, their codex releases are still a ways off (at least not in 2023 or early 2024). So it’s nice to see how they will actually play until at least the middle of next year.

Now let’s jump into the datasheets!

Let’s start with all the Death Guard stuff, then jump into the Daemons that were revealed on Twitch!

First off we finally get to see what Disgustingly Resilient has become in the new edition.

Death Guard 40k Datasheets

Mortarion 10th Edition 40k datasheetMaybe the sheet every Death Guard Player is most excited for! He’s got 16 Wounds, 12 Toughness, a 2+/4+, and a 5+ Feel No Pain! He’s going to be quite hard to bring down and can buff up your troops (in some exciting ways, but the wounding will probably be used the most).

For attacks, his Rotwind will be great for taking out infantry and even light vehicles with a ton of attacks and Lethal Hits. The Lantern is pretty decent, but with only one shot shouldn’t add up to an insane amount of damage.

In melee, he’s going to be a monster against infantry. If you’re against single-wound models, he could easily take out full units each turn! Then, his strike attack only gets five attacks, but each one hits super hard. So if you get lucky, could do 20 damage to a target.

Daemons 10th 40k Edition DatasheetsWe saw a decent number of datasheets for them before, but they showed off a ton in the live stream!

Death Guard 40k DatasheetsBeing able to charge and advance is always excellent! It’s cool to see them have this ability, as you want to get a lot of the units into combat asap.

If you want to see the game for yourself, it is still up on Twitch as of this writing.
