As we move into Psychic Awakening beyond Phoenix Rising, Black Templars, Sisters and even Chaos may be next. Check out the latest.
Spotted originally by Fenriwolf on Bolter and Chainsword more light that has been shed on Black Templars, Chaos, and the number of books in the series altogether.
It’s a question on the reliability of the source. However, apparently, this rumor originated in Italian and was translated over to French, and so on.
Psychic Awakening Support to Come: Black Templars
Rules in PsyAwakening Book 2.Including the full complement of new stratagems/litanies/warlord traits/relics/doctrine
– Tome 2 enemy is chaos
– Helbrecht and Grimaldus are still old marines but their rules are expected to change a bit
– 1 CP stratagem for charging out of LR crusaders with no overwatch + the charged enemy unit is -1 to hit in HtH
– Relic with one round of 4++ 3″ aoe around the bearer
– Warlord trait with +1″ charge/ + 1″ advance
– “Dont get to excited for characters,most of what has changed are the WT”
– “But once they get in HtH,the target has few chances of escaping it” (later explained to be a stratagem that denies disengage on a 2+)
While everything is a bit jumbled, and assuming these rumors are true, the Black Templars are looking to get some pretty fluffy stratagems and a pretty bonkers AoE 4++ invuln relic. Chaos was also mentioned to come with book two. We may be seeing Chaos butt heads with the Black Templars in the next release.
Black Templars Ships Spotted in Psychic Awakening Video

This would actually make sense as we saw a Black Templars ship heading into the warp in an earlier Psychic Awakening video. The rumors from above also said not to get too excited about any new characters or updates. However, somebody did mention a Primaris Emperor’s Champion. Let’s face it, they need to update him badly.
We’ve also been hearing rumors for a while of Black Templars also getting a Box Set with the Orks. These rumors originally appeared in the same batch of rumors that talked of Iron Hands and other Marine support- All of which turned out to be totally accurate.
Other Factions Mentioned
Coming from Faeit 212, there is a small nugget of other factions to appear next out of a three-book Psychic Awakening series. The factions mentioned are:
- Black Templars (covered above) Sisters of Battle, and Chaos in Book 2.
- Blood Angels mentioned in Book 3.
If you haven’t seen it already, Sablednah data-mapped the areas of focus on 40k’s map. Coming from the Psychic Awakening live-map on WHC, there were insignias that appeared as well as certain areas that were zoomed in on the map.
One of the faction insignias was the Sororitas logo. next after Phoenix Rising, which would coincide with all of the rumors from above.
