Aeldari: The Ghosts of the Past Return
Aeldari will be getting Aspect warriors with new sculpts to “round out the line” in early 2025. With new units and updates on the horizon, they’re ready to strike fear—or at least mild concern—into the hearts of their enemies. Asurmen, the first Aeldari Phoenix Lord, has arrived looking more majestic than ever. The new miniature captures the gravitas of this ancient warrior while showing off the cutting-edge design that only millennia of practice can bring.
The most graceful Phoenix Lord, Baharroth, soars onto the battlefield with his updated miniature that screams “precision and power.” Known as the fastest of the Phoenix Lords, Baharroth pairs speed with deadly efficiency, cutting through foes with his blade and devastating lasblasts.
Tons of new Aeldari miniatures are swooping into 10th Edition Warhammer 40k, including Phoenix Lords, Aspect Warriors, and codex rules! We’ve been hearing rumors about this for months; go check out all the latest here!
New 40k Rules: 24 Detachments for 10th Edition Revealed
Every Warhammer 40k faction is getting new 10th Edition rules detachments to celebrate Grotmas, which replaced the Advent Engine in 2024.
Grotmas, Sanguinalia, or whatever your preferred holiday moniker may be—‘tis the season of bolters and biomass, of merry mayhem across the Warhammer 40k universe! Games Workshop has gifted us all something far more exciting than socks: a series of new detachments for every faction in Warhammer 40k (which is not terrible, but it is hard to say if this is going to be better than the Advent Engine).
From Deathwatch to Chaos Daemons, Grotmas is an advent calendar of carnage, promising a tactical Warhammer 40k rules twist for every kind of player. See all the reveals in our Grotmas article here.

GW Reveals New HH Plastic Tanks, Arvus Lighter, & Deredeo
Upgrade your Horus Heresy battles with new plastic kits, from the versatile Arvus Lighter to devastating Malcador tanks and powerful Deredeo weapons. The Horus Heresy Age of Darkness release in 2022 brought some of the Imperium’s most iconic vehicles and weapons into the fray, and now a new wave of plastic kits is here to let you add even more firepower to your army.
From scrappy transports to tank-melting lasers and sky-shredding missiles, this latest preview lineup from the World Championships of Warhammer offers something for every commander looking to bring a little extra carnage to the tabletop. See all the new releases for Horus Heresy in our full preview article here.
Empire of Man Returns With New, Classic Old World Models
Stunning new Empire of Man kits are on the way, featuring a battalion box, revamped classics, and rules updates for Warhammer: The Old World! From the clash of swords to the roar of artillery, the Empire marches once more, ready to defend its borders with unyielding resolve.
Be sure to check out all the new plastic kits and redesigned Forge World resin models coming to the tabletop next for Old World in our preview coverage here.
40k Codex Release Dates For 2024-25
In 2024, Games Workshop slowed its release date schedule, going to pre-recorded Warhammer Roadmap previews that don’t even show new 40k models, just simply mentions of upcoming releases by studio staff. If the latest 10th Edition 40k Codex Roadmap is any indication, a whopping 17 upcoming Warhammer 40k codex books will be released by early 2024-25!
However, none of this was shown off at the Warhammer Day Preview, so expect to see plenty of Astra Militarum, Imperial Knights, and Eldar (we hope.)
Battletomes Roadmap Heading Into 2025
With the new Warhammer Age of Sigmar edition now available, it’s prime time to map out what’s next. It seems Destruction and Death will steal the spotlight early in 2025, with at least a couple of battletomes on the horizon, along with new models for the next “season” of Age of Sigmar.
However, we saw the Slaves to Darkness book revealed at the Warhamemr Day Preview, so we might get Destruction taking front and center at the preview!
Empire, High Elves, & Chaos Release Dates
The Empire is putting on its marching boots, the High Elves are up to their usual tricks, and Chaos? Well, it’s just being its chaotic self, making mayhem wherever it can. The Old World is about to get a serious makeover, thanks to the new release roadmap packed with tons of Warhammer miniatures set to drop in the coming months.
