The latest GW’s new release roadmap is filling up fast with all the new models out there. Take a look at the latest rumors and previews!
All eyes are looking at the Age of Sigmar Open Day that will mark four consecutive months of GW events revolved around hobby! But what clues have we already seen that could predict more from that day and into fall?
Release Roadmap: Bold Release Predictions Ahead For June & July
Here’s our latest speculation of what could be just over the bend moving from July into August and beyond…
- Late Summer: Space Marines should be wrapping up the summer with a new codex. This codex is going to be Primaris-focused and have a bunch of new kits hit the game with it. We should look for multi-part kits with plenty of wargear options. As for normal Space Marines, apparently, GW isn’t touching anything for them rules-wise.
- Word on the street is there will be not one but two supplements incoming for the Astartes sooner than later.
- Ultramarines Supplement
- White Scars Supplement
More Previous Rumors About Primaris Support
- A close-combat designed Primaris unit with different weapon options. (These could be the Terminators of Primaris units).
- Some kind of Primaris Tank kit with different main turret options. (This could replace the Predator)
- New Fast one-man vehicles similar to Bikes/Land Speeders.
- A Primaris Medium Transport. (something cheap with a decent carrying capacity could work)
- Small Primaris Flyer
Honestly, GW’s primaris releases seem to emulate EXACTLY what they have been doing for their Stormcasts for Age of Sigmar right down to the recent “Vanguard” release. These latest rumors also seem to fit this trend as well.
Iron Hands Primaris Character
We think it’s safe to say the wait was worth it! This named Iron Father will be hitting shelves (and your opponents) later this year…
Rather unexpectedly, the Iron Hands got a named Primaris character coming to their faction. This took us by surprise for the fact that GW decided to show love to a very minor chapter in 40k. Could this guy be the first of many new characters coming to chapters across the Imperium?
Forge World: Adeptus Titanicus Titanicus Bits & More
Still, on deck are a slew of painted models for what we can only assume will be a release in the next three months. For the most part these all have product shots and have been actively previewed from May onward.
FW Titanicus Upgrades
Golden Keshig Jetbikes
Contemptor-Incaendius Class Dreadnought
More Horus Heresy: Book Nine & Dark Angels
While book nine was only mentioned, they did show off some of the Dark Angel’s specific models. Take a look at how intricate the detailing is on the Dreadnoughts and Praetors!
Look for the Dark Angels to be battling the Night Lords and Dark Mechanicum in book nine.
The Armigers from 40k are also going to be coming to the Horus Heresy with a host of new weapons. It looks like we can see some kind of Vulkite cannon and maybe some kind of experimental Las cannon option!
Something is also headed to Necromunda under the name of Helmwar’s Justice. You hear in the video “Enforcers, Get Down!” looks like Enforcers are next on deck.
Aeronautica Imperialis is Coming Back
Not giving us too much, it looks like we’ve got a flying skirmish game in the works as well. Do you remember playing this game back in the day?
Warhammer Underworlds Season Three Announced
Giving us a hint at Season three of Warhammer Underworlds, we know that we’ll probably have a whole new wave of Warbands coming as well. In fact, they also gave us an early look at one of the Warband’s models.
We got our first look at one member of an all-new warband and are none the wiser about the faction from which they hail. Looks cute, though
Reminder: Not pictured are even more Lord of the Rings and Blood Bowl releases.
Rumors abound of TWO new Blood Bowl Teams coming to the pitch soon, one that conveniently coincides with Sigmar rumors below. Perhaps it is too early to tell…
Knight Sprues & Weapon Options
This sprue was also spotted on the Warhammer TV stream on Twitch. As part of their Titanicus breakdown, they gave us a short glimpse of what the new Knight upgrade sprues were going to look like.
Take a look at the sprue next to the new set of Titanicus dice. It’s not the first time we’ve seen dice packaged that way. We’ve been comparing it to the size of the sprue and we feel like the sprue will be about the size of the current stratagem cards. Taking a deeper look at what kind of upgrades we’ll be getting, we’ll have:
- 6x fists (3 Right and Left)
- 3x missile pods
- 3x Meltas
- 3x Knight heads
While the sprue may come with six fists, it’s actually all geared around upgrading three Knights only. At least we’ll have more options on which hand we want our fist on and if nothing else, these will be a great leftover conversion bits.
Beyond Summer?
It’s really no surprise but Sisters of Battle are coming at some point in 2019. However recent rumors say they may be getting their full release a lot sooner than a lot of hobbyists were expecting.
Coming from an Industry Insider:
These ladies will be hitting shelves around back to school time.
Sisters have been generating nothing but hype since we’ve started seeing their models more regularly. While this all should still be taken as rumors, your eyes should stay peeled in the month ahead for potential previews from GW and more!
Seraphon also look to be getting a 2.0 reboot for Age of Sigmar as well according to rumors from June that seems to be supported by some of the rumor engines as of late.
Rumors From an Industry Insider:
Lizards are coming back late summer for a bigger release than Sylvaneth.
The only “lizard” faction we know about is Seraphon and while the Sylvaneth are still being held up, they’ve definitely gotten a lot of support. That makes us wonder exactly what kind of help the Seraphon could be getting this summer. Most overhauled factions at the very least get their own set of Endless Spells, however, Seraphon have a lot of older models too. Maybe we could see some minis transferred over to plastic or even get reworked.
We know there are more Warcry warbands that will be releasing in the near future as well.
With that said, it’s only a matter of time before we see more on their latest projects. With late summer and fall ahead of us, we should keep our eyes peeled for everything that was mentioned above to be hitting the shelves.
So what are you most excited for? When would you like to see Space Marines get a 2.0 codex?
