Is The Death Korps of Krieg Christmas Box Worth It?
In terms of raw value, this is actually the lowest Christmas box for 40k. Still, with over $92 in value, you’re basically getting two of the units inside for free! So if you need everything in the box, this is a great way to get a force on the board quickly.
If you want to play a DKoK horde, this is a “buy” all day long. But, if you’re looking for more traditional Astra Militarum, you’ll probably want to pass on this one.
Either way, let’s just hope it doesn’t get allocated like some recent battleforces and plenty of people get to pick it up.

Based on the current edition of 40k, we would guess the Death Korps of Krieg battleforce points are somewhere around 500 points.
What to Buy Next?
If you’re picking up the Krieg Siege Platoon, you’re well on your way to a proper trench-warfare army, but you’ll want to add a few essentials to keep pace and go to bigger battles.
Start with a Rogal Dorn or Leman Russ Battle Tank to give your infantry line some real teeth and long-range punch. A Field Ordnance Battery or Manticore adds extra indirect firepower, perfect for softening up objectives before your troopers advance.
Don’t sleep on a second set of Combat Engineers either, they’re great for board control and mission scoring in the new detachment setups. With those upgrades, you’ll have a list that feels authentically grim, brutally efficient, and ready to bury the enemy under shells and shovels alike.
