It doesn’t seem like we have to dream about Henry Cavill being in a Warhammer movie or TV show anymore, as Amazon has set him to the task!  While many fans may have been upset when Cavill announced he was no longer going to be in Superman, we will see him now in something much more exciting (well, to us, at least)!

They haven’t given us a ton of details about what type of Warhammer 40k movie or show Games Workshop and Amazon Studios will make. However, we know Henry Cavill will be producing and starring in it!

GW, Amazon Studios, & Henry Cavill Warhammer 40k Show Series Contracts Signed

Amazon Studios has acquired the rights to Warhammer 40k, and Henry Cavill will star and produce a TV show series, and movie for them!

There were rumors that pointed to Games Workshop and Henry Cavill no longer making a Warhammer series with Amazon. However, as rumors tend to do, they turned out to be not 100% accurate. You can read more about that here.

However, now that this project is official and the contracts are signed, it’s time for all parties involved to get to work.  Here is the latest from Games Workshop about their agreement with Amazon Studios.

Two massive Warhammer projects are officially on the way from Games Workshop and Amazon Studios, both championed by Henry Cavill.

Games Workshop’s Agreement to Develop Films & Television

Per their investor post, it does seem that Games Workshop is keeping its eye on the IP prize, so to speak, with caveats on how Amazon portrays its universes. If you remember, this was a major part of the previous “deal collapsed” rumor.

While it is good that Games Workshop is so very protective of its IP, it looks like hobbyists will have to wait at least a year for the two parties to come to a consensus on the look and feel of the new projects.

This is just insane news, and we hope they find a great writer to get the project off the ground! Considering they don’t have everything in place, don’t get too crazed, as we’re probably a ways off from seeing the first project.  Now, it’s time to start making lists of who will would want to see actually play in the new movies and shows!

Between the WWE and Hollywood, Warhammer seems to quickly become more and more mainstream.  Check out more articles on Warhammer going mainstream below!
