Even The BBC Agrees With Henry Cavill’s Warhammer Love

It appears even the BBC has come around on the subject and fully agrees with all the love Henry Cavill has for Warhammer- and even defended him!

We’ve seen a lot about Henry Cavill and Warhammer lately, but that’s just because he keeps talking about it! Plus hey, what’s wrong with talking about our favorite fellow Warhammer enthusiast? Nothing, that’s what!

It looks like BBC is also jumping on the Henry Cavill Warhammer hype train and is sort of defending him from Graham Norton, not that he may need it though.

The BBC Agrees With Henry Cavill’s Warhammer Love

If you haven’t seen the interview that this all stems from, the clip above Graham gives him a somewhat hard time for playing. At the 35 second mark, Graham even says that “He lets his nerd flag fly high,” which, there’s nothing wrong with that. Because at this point, if you talk about Warhammer on national television, you really are flying the nerd flag from the highest of banner poles, and we’re so happy he does!

When he explains the hobby further, Graham makes a little more fun of him and the crowd laughs at the idea of grown men playing with toys. At least Spidey stood up and asked for an invite! Anyway, we all already knew all this. Now the BBC is taking his side and defending nerds all over the UK- and beyond.

The BBC Defense

Coming from the BBC, here’s what they had to say about our favorite celebrity Warhammer enthusiast:

Graham Norton was sort of portraying it as a little peculiar, or weird. Almost like, ‘haven’t you got better things to be doing with your time?’ That was definitely a shame.

Then they talked to a hobbyist who loves the community surrounding the game:

Not only does she enjoy painting the miniatures and playing war games, Kerriss says one of the best parts for her is the community that comes along with it.

Three weeks ago she met up with some other fans who she had started speaking to online during the pandemic. We really support each other, but I think that’s because, for many years, so many of us have been outliers. The community is the best thing that could have ever happened to my life.

Just interesting to see the BBC pick this up and take the defense of British and well nerds everywhere!

WWE Superstars Storm Warhammer World!

The crossovers don’t stop with Hollywood either, as the WWE superstars recently took over Warhammer World to see what GW has to offer.

If you haven’t been paying attention lately, Shayna Baszler has been bringing Warhammer 40k inspired costumes to the WWE and they’ve all been pretty awesome. She’s been pretty open about her love of Warhammer, and we are excited to see it!

This time, she took Cesaro with her all the way to Warhammer World to explore, as GW hosted them!

If you love wrestling and Warhammer, the recent collaborations have been really cool and it’s also nice to see GW take such a good stance on this. Instead of getting mad that she’s been putting the costumes on, they really seem to be embracing it.

Now Shayna is also jumping to the defense of Warhammer 40k fans everywhere.

She goes full WWE on this challenge and with three other wrestlers behind her, it’s quite menacing. Either way, this is pretty fun and we’ll have to see if Graham responds. Plus, it would be so much fun to see Graham and Shayna go at it in the ring. Also, more things like this will change the perception that Warhammer is played by normal people, and guess what? It is!
