Updated 2022 Warhammer 40k Christmas Battleforces Value & Pricing

There were eight 40k Christmas Battleforces in 2022. That is huge, as starting in 2016, there were only eight battleforces altogether for both AoS and Warhammer 40k total!

However, the battleforces didn’t stop there, as they also released new Space Marine boxes and even an Arks of Omen battleforce box.

Initially, these came out with a price of $210; however, with the newest price increases, they are all going to $230, so just something to keep in mind. Let’s see what kind of value they still have.

Are the 2022 Warhammer 40k Christmas Battleforces Worth it?

Overall, they all have about the same value with a spread of about 20 bucks (which is about $20 higher than in 2021). Either way, whatever battleforce you pick, they will all have decent value inside. So that point, it just really just comes down to if you “need” the minis.

Some Battleforce boxes are more focused on a certain aspect of an army, while others are more varied. If you look at the Adeptus Custodes box, almost all the value comes from the Custodian Guard, so if you really want a lot of troops, it’s a good buy.

However, the boxes for Chaos are pretty decent, but a huge value comes in the way of the big characters, so if you already have them, it doesn’t have too much other value.

Regardless, they are all decent buys considering they kept the same $210 price as last year, but even with the increases up to $230 now; you will also save a decent amount of cash.

New 40k Space Marines Battleforces: Pricing & Value Breakdown Review

This time, these Battleforces are all for the first founding chapters, as Warhammer Community unveiled the new box sets and what you can score in each!

Space Marines Battleforces

A new year of Warhammer means Armies on Parade is on its way, and we’re kicking things off with New Year, New Army. And as luck would have it, many awesome battleforces have been released over the Christmas holiday – an excellent starting point on your next Warhammer project. But while the Imperial Fists and Raven Guard got their due, several other First Founding chapters were nowhere to be seen.

That changes now.

Four brand-new boxes stuffed with Space Marines are coming to a Warhammer store near you very soon, featuring the Iron Hands, Salamanders, White Scars, and Ultramarines. Let’s have a look at what’s inside

Iron Hands: March of Iron Strike Force Battleforce:

Space Marines Battleforces 2

Dreadnoughts are some of the most powerful weapons in the Space Marines’ arsenal, and the March of Iron Strike Force is all about getting them into the thick of the fight. Two hulking Redemptor Dreadnoughts are backed up by the engineering prowess of a Primaris Techmarine and Iron Father Feirros himself, while 10 Intercessors follow in their wake to secure the ground.

  • 2 Redemptor Dreadnoughts $150
  • Primaris Techmarine $40
  • Feirros $45
  • 10 Intercessors $60
  • Iron Hands Upgrades and Transfers $27 (assuming one set- actual contents not confirmed)

Then hammer the anvil of war with the gravis-armoured might of three Eradicators and three Aggressors. The Warforged Strike Force is as Salamanders as they come, and provides you with all the sturdy CORE Infantry you need to make good use of the chapter’s new secondary objective.

  • 20 Intercessors $120
  • 3 Eradicators $60
  • 3 Aggressors $60
  • Adrax Agatone $45
  • Salamanders Upgrades and Transfers $27 (assuming one set- actual contents not confirmed)

Built around a dependable core of six Primaris Outriders and two Invader ATVs led by a Primaris Chaplain on Bike, this express delivery of pain discards weak and feeble legs for the mechanical purity of the wheel.

Space Marines Battleforces 8

It wouldn’t be a Space Marine party without the Ultramarines, and the final battleforce shows them at their versatile best. You get objective control from 10 Intercessors, supreme firepower from 10 Hellblasters, melee mastery from three Bladeguard Veterans, tactical genius from Marneus Calgar, and psychic dominance from Chief Librarian Tigurius. Two members of the Victrix Guard have even joined their Chapter Master for the ride.

  • 10 Intercessors $60
  • 10 Hellblasters $60
  • 3 Bladeguard Veterans $60
  • Marneus Calgar and Victrix $60
  • Chief Librarian Tigurius $45
  • Ultramarines Upgrades $16.50 (assuming one set- actual contents not confirmed)

Total MSRP: $301.50

Total Value Versus the $230 Box Price: $117

Are the Warhammer 40k Space Marines Battleforces Worth it?

Three of the four boxes have much less value than the Christmas Battleforces. However, the White Scars box has a lot of value, so that should be worth the pickup almost no matter what. Still, even at the same price, they will all get you decent value and are a good way to start a new army.

The reason being lots of units seem to always go out of stock when Games Workshop releases a new codex and a trend that may repeat itself with the potential releases of new Space Marines as well…

Arks of Omen 40k Balefleet Battleforce

Click Here To Get Yours For Less: | Amazon | Dicehead Games | Bazooka Games | Frontline Gaming | or | eBay |

Arks of Omen box sets 3

  • 10 Possessed $120 ($60 for 5)

  • Heldrake $80
  • Daemon Prince $80 (pricing for the new model)

Savings versus $210 box price: $110

We initially thought this value was really high, but now it makes sense, as they made this with the price increases in mind!
