BREAKING: Rackham Confrontation KS Date Announced

Confrontation MainPrepare yourselves for the resurrection of Rackham’s classic Confrontation game with a new Kickstarter that will be starting in April. Don’t miss the latest.

The confirmation that Confrontation-Resurrection is being revived and expanded upon has many veteran table-toppers talking and chomping at the bit to become a backer.

For those who are unfamiliar with Confrontation, it was a miniature skirmish game that was published by Rackham (which is no longer in business). It was set in the world of Aarklash, a medieval fantasy realm with all the associated races and monsters. The rules were highly versatile and allowed players to play out small skirmish battles and larger battles if desired. There were several editions and expansions for it as well.

Before we get to the latest update, let’s take a look at the teaser video.

Aarklash HeaderWell, with the Kickstarter right around the corner, we’re getting a look at our first Confrontation Classic newsletter and what the Kickstarter will feature.

Aarklash Body

The Kickstarter 2018 event box will contain the game rules, 16 playable factions in one box with a pool of points totaling 178 minis, two complete Battle sets so you can run two simultaneous games or one 4-player game, and there will also be stretch goals and bonuses unlocked throughout the Kickstarter.

The details of those stretch goals will be revealed once the Kickstarter is up and running on April 17th, which was just announced previously to press time.

The minis themselves will be made of plastic in order to help keep the cost of the new box down. As for the game itself… It’s a skirmish format wargame played on a 4 ft x 2 ft table with some terrain on it, each player will field 5 to 20 minis, you’ll need a tape measure with centimeters on it, some D6, and game tokens. The games will last between 45 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the game format you decide to play.

Confrontation Hall of Fame
