New Space Marine & Ad Mech Tank Rules LATEST

Space Marine walpaper

The new Warhammer 4ok Space Marine and Ad Mech tanks are here! Check out the latest from the rules to the kits themselves that have been revealed!

Warhammer Community dropped the rules preview showcasing the new Primaris Repulsor Executioner. You might have to sacrifice some transport space, but you’ll be picking up some much-needed firepower.

Space Marine Primaris Repulsor Executioner Rule Spotted

With 40k Apocalypse sizing up to be the new 40k game mode, this thing should be arriving just in time! Now check out everything there is to know about this tank so far.

Capable of shredding infantry and armor alike with contemptuous ease, if you’re looking to scrap your opponents’ heaviest units, this is the vehicle for you!

You’ll be able to choose just which form of electric death your Repulsor Executioner is armed with, with a pair of Belisarius Cawl’s latest and deadliest inventions on offer. Want to turn Terminators into bubbling goo? The macro plasma incinerator is the place to start.

macro plasma incinerator

The macro plasma incinerator is actually quite disgusting. No matter what firing mode you choose, you’ll be able to melt through armor or force any kind of invulnerable save the enemy might have. Plus at S9 you should be wounding 90% of the in-game stuff on 2+’s and 3+’s. The only scary part about this thing is the random D6 shots.

Want to blast Daemon Engines back to the stygian pits from whence they came? We heartily recommend the heavy laser destroyer – the lascannon’s bigger, meaner cousin.

heavy laser destroyer

The heavy laser destroyer is literally just a Lascannon that’s been hitting the gym. Like the plasma cannon, you’ll be able to punch through any armor or at the very least, force an invulnerable save. What’s nice about this is the range and the flat two shots. We could see this Repulsor be the new addition to the Guilliman gun line list.

For even more icing on the cake, you’ll be able to shoot the main weapons twice. As long as they don’t move over half its max distance, of course. This is basically Grinding Advance from the Leman Russ. (That Guilliman gun line is looking even better isn’t it).

Of course, the preview just covered the main business end of the tanks. There are still some side cannons and extra dakka that will help you clear away enemy screens.

Early Sprue Pics of the Repulsor Executioner Upgrade Sprue

If you haven’t seen these pics already, take a quick look at how the vehicle is laid out on-sprue.

Looks like the new repulsor has two main weapon options that both rock. If you have already assembled one of these for your Primaris it looks like a simple turret swap may be possible without installing the new top coupler armor plate.

Skitarii Skorpius Dunerider Rules Spotted

Warhammer Community also unveiled the rules for the transport and tank versions of the Skorpius. After going over the specs of each, tell us what you’ll be fielding in your list.

skitarii dunerider

It’s here! The new two in one Adeptus Mechanicus transport and tank is on the way for the Skitarii, in time for Apocalypse as well!

The Skorpius Dunerider opens up the option for a new type of Adeptus Mechanicus army – a force of mobile infantry, whether bringing the brutal short-range firepower of the Skitarii to bear with deadly efficiency or dropping fully charged Electro-Priests right in the middle of your foe’s army.

dunerider

The Dunerider is only T6 but the 12 wounds and 12″ movement will definitely help it get up the board and drop off your troops. It’s got a 10-man transport capacity so you’ve got plenty of options on what you want to put inside…Angry techno-priests anyone? The way things are looking, it’ll just be a quick can of metal designed to throw some units up the board before exploding. But this is good. Speed is one of the main things that the Skitarii/Mechanicus lack on the table.

hover platform

The hover platform rules tell us that the weapon mounted on the top would normally give a -1 to hit after moving. It’s actually called the twin heavy cognis stubber. We don’t know the official stats of the weapon but our guess is that it’ll be very similar to a Heavy Bolter.

Now that the beans have been spilled on the Dunerider, let’s check out some real firepower.

Skitarii Skorpius Disintegrator Rules Spotted

Disruptor Missiles Located on the Front of the Hull

disruptor missiles

If it’s mobile firepower you’re after, you’ll want the Skorpius Disintegrator instead. In addition to a trio of cognis heavy stubbers, it comes with a prow-mounted disruptor missile launcher that packs a considerable (and highly explosive) wallop.

six S7 shots doing D3 damage a pop is nothing to scoff at. It can devastate a Dreadnought outright or put a real dent in something lik a Knight.

ferrumite cannon

As for the main auto cannon-looking weapon, this thing slaps. At a guaranteed 3 shots with high strength and high AP, you’ll almost always be hitting and wounding your target. The -3 AP really translates into no armor save at all or a forced invuln save for your opponent. Plus it’s probably the cheaper option of the two main cannons.

belleros energy weapon

The belleros energy weapon is a medium armor/elite bully. It’s S6 so should be wounding a large majority of things on 3+’s and 4+’s. Beyond that, it can one-shot Primaris and Terminators off the board that aren’t even in this thing’s LOS. Plus, the 3D3 shot count means you’re at least always guaranteed 3 shots.

Models & Sprues Spotted Early

Here are some shots of the sprues and the tank variants sent to us from Sablednah

With the Skorpius’ rules under our belt, what do you think the points cost on these two variants will be? Have the Skitarii been in dire need of a fast transport like the Dunerider?

How many points do you think the new tanks will cost, and which weapon variant are you going to go with? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
