If you’ve been waiting to get into the game, now is the time! If you’ve already been playing, well, you have been getting tons of options to expand your forces. It’s just a really fun game and now with all the additions, each game will have tons of variety.
Today, the Trident flies to the tabletop. It is a ship that always heralds the arrival of hostile forces. The ship is wildly versatile as its giant tendrils can either crush enemy ships in outer space or the ocean. Not to mention it just looks really cool! Let’s take a closer look at the announcement from Asmodee:
Star Wars X-Wing Trident-class Assault Ship:
Whether spearheading surprise attacks on key Republic facilities or pirate raids on innocent worlds, the Trident-class assault ship heralds the arrival of hostile forces, emerging ominously from the seas of stars. Armed with crushing tentacles and capable of operating in space, atmosphere, or the ocean’s depths, these versatile warships present an unorthodox threat that can strike unexpectedly to seize control of nearly any battlefield.
Pirating raids could make for some really cool missions, but the Republic has its work cut out for it when a fleet of these show up! The mini itself looks really great and is just full of character. If you love Star Wars, check what else is going on with it!
Inside you will find multiple new Huge Ship Upgrade cards, Quick Build cards, and several new scenarios for using this craft. Rising Tide, a head-to-head scenario, and Leviathan Hunt. A co-operative scenario where multiple players work together to bring down a single Trident-class assault ship controlled by a simplified Solo System AI deck.

The Cards
The cards are pretty cool and make this ship very different than most. Especially because you want to be in range 0, and that means ramming speed! Hopefully, this is durable enough to get close quickly, so you can drill through the enemy ships!
