Despite it being April Fool’s Day, you can score a free Deathwing Knight from GW along with the April Coin Promotion!
The free miniature and coin promotions have been going on since November 2020. Currently, there are also free Stormcast and Space Marines miniatures for new players so that you can bring a friend to the store, and they can grab a free model, too!
Score a Deathwing Knight For Free & April Coin Promotion (Not a Joke)
Warhammer Community just unveiled the latest new collectible coin promotion and free GW miniature, so if you want the coin for April, get ready to bring a friend and get hobbying. Games Workshop does one of these promotions monthly (more or less), and the collectible coins are generally based on that month’s new releases.
Also, collecting at least six coins can score you a nice little binder to hold them in. If you want to see all the previous month’s collectible coin offerings, click here to check those out!
Free Mini For April 2024
Every month you can visit your local Warhammer store to collect a miniature of the month for free (while stocks last). And from the 6th of April, you’ll be able to join the hunt for the Fallen with a free Deathwing Knight!
These miniatures will be available while stocks last, and they may differ from the one pictured.
This is one of the most expensive miniatures we’ve ever seen for the free promotion, both in terms of points and cash. So, if you want this model, we recommend getting to the GW store on the 6th.
Dawnbringers Crusade
You’ll earn points towards completing an activity card through all kinds of hobby activities, from painting new units to battling your friends. You can also claim bonus points by introducing a friend to Warhammer and guiding them through their first steps, so they can aid you on your campaign too.
This will last for three months, and you don’t have to spend $100 this time to get the coin. However, you’ll have to bring a friend and get them to paint, collect, and read together. Then, when you complete everything on the card, you get the coin below.
However, there are only 16 points on this card, and you need 18, so we assume getting your friend in the Battle Honours program gives you two additional points.
Score 18 points across all activities to complete your card, adding a point to your store’s campaign tracker for your chosen path.* And to mark you out as a true Dawnbringer, you’ll also receive an authentic Coin Malleus of your own – whether you found a city in Sigmar’s name, or blight the land he sought to claim (while stocks last).
This is a differently styled than the other coins we’ve seen before, and it’s really awesome!
Free Warhammer AoS & 40k Minis from GW
From the looks of it, Games Workshop has added a 40k Infernus free miniature to the lineup if you bring a friend to a corporate store!
If you are visiting a Warhammer store to score the collectible coin or a Miniature of the Month, it could be a great chance to introduce your friends and family to the amazing world of Warhammer. They can choose a free push-fit miniature, either a Stormcast Eternal or an Infernus Marine, and start learning how to paint it.
New Kroot Citadel Collectible Coin For April
For April, a collectible coin featuring the Kroot auxiliaries will be available. You can acquire your own Kroot coin from Warhammer stores beginning April 6th. However, they don’t mention the details behind this promotion. Previously, you could score the Citadel coin of the month for spending over $100, but this month, all they say is to ask the staff how to score yours.
That’s all for now! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to score a Deathwing Knight and collectible coin this month, and remember to bring a friend to join in on the Dawnbringers Crusade for bonus points.
