Games Workshop just gave us another preview from the Horus Heresy and Necromunda Weekender. Come take a look at the latest Mechanicum and Knight previews.
Let’s take a look at new Mechanicum goodies, Vehicles, and the Acastus Knight previews Games Workshop just gave us from the Horus Heresy and Necromunda Weekender, and see what they had to say about them all.
The Taerrax pattern Termite Assault Drill is a blast from the past – a burrowing transport vehicle that first appeared in the Epic-scale game Space Marine many years ago. It takes a squad of warriors deep underground, using multi-directional drills to manoeuvre beneath the enemy and bursting out of the ground in the heart of their formations, disgorging Space Marines and blasting enemy apart with volkite beams.
Garro even posted up some better shots of this from the event itself:
And the rules as well from our friends over at Radio Free Istvaan:
There were several sneak peeks of works in progress as well. The Mechanicum are getting some love with the new Acastus Knight variant, and the sinister Magos Dominus Anacharis Scoria, one of the founding fathers of the Dark Mechanicum, who is looking deeply scary even just from a limited look…
Garro had some close-ups of these here-TEK as well, who is looking quite… Chaotic!
The Termite’s big brother is coming too, with the Imperial Mole looking like an absolute monster, with four huge tracks holding up the immense bullet-shaped device.
The new Termite and Mole look like they’re going to be a huge improvement over there Epic 40k selves. Here’s an image from an “early 90’s publication” of the Terminator and Mole via our good friends at Radio Free Isstvan.
Plus it looks like a fan favorite has been re-designed for a new generation of Marine players, as well as news that Battlefleet Gothic is confirmed on the way:
Lucius Pattern Dreadnought Drop Pod looks to have been redesigned with new hinges and interior paneling.
Games Workshop dropped a lot of new minis on us this weekend, and now it looks like Mechanicum fans out there are going to have a wave of releases to look forward to. The new Magos Dominus Anacharis Scoria and Acastus Knight both look amazing. Then we see the reimagined Mole and Termite and it’s nice seeing where Games Workshop is now compared to where they were back in the “good ole days”.
With all of the new releases we’ve seen over the last two days, it looks like 2018 is going to be a really busy year for Warhammer fans everywhere. Make sure you’re checking back in with us for the latest updates.
