Futureproof your Primaris Aggressors- I’ll show you how to magnetize them to swap your weapons super fast and easy just in case of a rules change…
This time he helps us future proof our Primaris by magnetizing Aggressors, just in case the meta shifts.
Rob is back with another tutorial for us today. He’s giving us a quick and easy way to future proof any of our own Aggressors following his example.
Magnetize Your Primaris Space Marines Aggressors
For this tutorial, he will be using 1/8 x 1/16 magnets from The Magnet Baron. If you’re obsessed with all things magnets, go see the other tutorials.
Aggressor base assembly with magnets attached.
First, you want to get your model to this point. Leave the back of the hands and weapons off, plus the top of the backpack. The guns can be assembled with their feeds and wires attached because the sockets that tab into the backpack will actually keep them tight in place with the magnets we’ll put in the fists- you won’t need a drop of glue to attach them to the back.
But make sure you glue the body of the backpack on, then drill a small hole in the top, and just plop the magnet as flush as possible.
The top launcher is pretty thin so be very careful while drilling out the hole into that.
Aggressor with magnetized weapons
As for the hands and guns, you will have to drill a little into the bottoms of the fists, but the top halves should just glue right in. Be sure to make the opposite sides flush and place those magnets in the same position above and below each other.
Also always remember to double and triple-check polarities before you glue the magnets into place!
The last little bit is a bonus if you want. You can magnetize your models’ bases as well. This makes carrying them around easier (with a metal bottom case) and keeps them safer from breakage while you are building and painting them. Magnet Baron even sells pre-magnetized resin bases too that I use until the model is finished and ready for its final base (which will also be magnetized).
And that does it for this one! Be sure to watch the video below for Rob’s full breakdown! Patreon supporters of Spikey Bits get models like this each month shipped to them
