If you don’t know how to get from the 8th Edition format to 9th Edition, we’ve got the steps to follow below.
Once you download the app, you tap the three buttons in the top right and go to Manage Data.
Scroll down until you see Warhammer 40,000 9th Edition and check the box. Also, if you’re still wanting to stick to 8th Edition, they saved a copy and you can also download the format a bit further down.
Finally, you can go back to the army building section of the app and start plugging in your units. It looks like everything is working as the points seem to be correct and the detachments you choose take away from the CP pool now. It’s also worth noting that finer details like the fact that if you take a Titanic unit in your Super-Heavy Detachment changes the base cost from 3CP to 6CP.
While we’ve had too wait just 48 hours after 9th Edition’s official release, it seems that we’ve got an app functioning leagues above what the Warhammer 40k army builder app is able to do. On that note, we’re probably going to see a few tweaks made to the 9th Edition Battlescribe section of the app over the coming days as they fine-tune things. But if you’ve got some time on your hands you can already start plugging in your lists!
