Deathwatch is back with new 9th Edition 40k rules, so we thought it would be a great time to look back at these painted miniatures from our army!
With all the Deathwatch support coming in their new supplement. We thought it might be a good idea to do a throwback to some of our own Deathwatch models! Here’s a project converted by Rob and painted by White Metal Games.

White Metal Games used a technique here with pre-shades and highlights which results in an extremely deep blue instead of black, to keep some of those key contrasts that you would otherwise lose with just a flat black. That’s why some of the armor plates look like they’re almost “glowing”.
No Deathwatch army would be complete without a Corvus Blackstar to swoop in and dakka the battlefield before dropping its payload of Astartes! Check out the sweet contrast from the red and black shades.
Attention to detail is huge on these models. Every metallic fixture on the helmets was covered in a crisp silver along with some drilled barrels on each storm bolter.
Artemis had his traditional weapon swapped out with a Custodian spear. It’s minor conversions like this that really make an army special.
Eisenhorn and Rex also made a spot in the list. While Inquisitors may not have the power to sway a game completely by themselves, for their points they can be psychic powerhouses.
