Check out their completed project from a few years back!
Disgustingly Good Looking: Custom Death Guard Army Collection
This project has taken a lot of custom work utilizing second-hand model collections. An old school Nurgle army actually formed the base of this army, focusing on Terminators and Cultists. Do you see those massive Daemonic beasts in the back? From a giant flying tentacle perched on a silo to an armored rotting centipede, the amount of sheer dread you’d feel if this is army existed in real life really jumps out at you.
The focus of the army was to put off a bruised Nurgle fleshy vibe. Thanks to the loving embrace from Papa Nurgle, a bunch of older bits and models that were never going to be used again got absorbed into the Death Guard’s ranks.
The Chaos Lord leads the Nurgle Terminators through the thick of the fighting, taking the bruised Death Guard to a victory march. high-end Detail work was not the main focus of this project. Mainly because the detail really showed where the grime and dirt were added to the overcoat of each model.
The Most Expensive Conversion?
The custom Maulerfiend is a combination of many different parts. Starting off with a Maggot Lord head and arms, this Maulerfiend is finished out with an old dragon figure’s tail. The pustules are made from silica balls and sculpted muscle tone. The custom-made centerpiece of the army is the Defiler. A few Knight Titan heads are encompassed into the model and his body is made of spare Knight Titan legs. Talk about an expensive conversion!
The Chaos Rhino heralds back the older Daemon possessed vehicles favored by Chaos. Entrails burst forth while the riders inside use it as an easy escape port in the heat of battle. Imagine what kind of sound 1,000 lbs of rotting Ceramite sliding down some intestines would make…
