Slaves to Darkness AoS & Wolfspear 40k Rules in WD 468

Updated Slaves to Darkness rules and the new Wolfspear (Space Wolves) successor Chapter are both going to be in the newest White Dwarf- check it out!

Last month saw the Sons of Behemat receive their updated rules for AoS 3.0 in White Dwarf and it looks like every month will see a faction updated. Honestly, this is a decent way to update armies because it can take years for every army to get a book in the new edition.

This is a pretty cheap middle ground to updating the armies. Especially when you consider some armies had books not very long ago.

Warhammer Community just unveiled everything to expect in the new edition of the mag. It looks like they are even going to have transfer sheets for the Wolfspear (who are a Space wolves successor chapter), along with the codex supplement. Let’s get into it!

White Dwarf Slaves to Darkness Rules

Slaves to Darkness rulesTome Celestial: Slaves to Darkness is a huge boon to Chaos worshippers. Including rules updates spanning six pages, this considerable battletome update presents revamped allegiance abilities and core battalions, as well as new rules for open and matched play formats, and a suite of rules for using Slaves to Darkness in Path to Glory campaigns. This bevy of official rulings comes straight from the game designers. An official, tournament-legal update to Battletome: Slaves to Darkness itself – so don’t get caught without them when you bring your forces of the Everchosen to your next event.

These will be tournament official rules, so if you play Slaves to Darkness, then you need to pick this up. 6 pages of rules is honestly a lot and who knows when they will actually grab their new book. So this might be a stop-gap for a while.

Slaves to Darkness rules 2You’ll also find a complete Usurpation of Power campaign pack, in which the forces of Be’lakor attempt to seize strategically important land in Shyish from Archaon the Everchosen. A classic Chaos-on-Chaos conflict complete with a campaign map and location tables.

Having the campaign to play through is always fun and when they are already set up, it’s even easier. Just another fun little addition.

Wolfspear Chapter

Wolfspear ChapterOne of a very few known successor Chapters of the Space Wolves, these cold and taciturn Primaris Space Marines revel in hunting the enemies of the Emperor. This issue of White Dwarf contains not only lore, squad markings, and a full codex supplement, but also a rather handsome transfer sheet and three Stratagem cards for the Wolfspear.

Usually, these supplements are a few traits, relics, and a couple of character datasheets. In this one though, you’ll also even get their stratagem cards, meaning they’ll have 3 new stratagems.

Even though it’s not a ton, it’s always cool to learn about the lesser-known chapters.

Wolfspear Chapter 2The sheet is pretty nice and could even just be used by normal Space Wolves.
