The Merry Slaaneshmass Tournament happened over the weekend with some pretty sweet 40k army lists towards the top!
The top overall players were a lot of the same stagnant meta that has hung over tournaments like the ghost of the Knight Castellan, so we’re featuring some of the more unique lists that placed high instead!
Top Warhammer 40k Army Lists: Merry Slaaneshmass
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we are able to look back at the event as if we were there ourselves.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
However, we aren’t covering all those lists, instead, we will be looking at just a few of our favorite, but still strong lists!
7th Place: Timothy Grant- Death Guard
5th Place: Noah Beddome- Grey Knights
3rd Place: Steve Trimble- Adeptus Custodes
Steve’s Battalion of Custodes is led by Trajann Valoris and a Captain on Dawneagle Jetbike. Trajann is a great unit in combat but also has a 6″ 1 to hit and wound re-roll bubble making him a great support piece as well. The Captain on Jetbike has a 6″ 1 to hit reroll aura and the added bonus of the extra movement from the bike, making him a much flexible piece zipping around the battlefields if needed.
As for Troops, there is one unit of Custodian Guards and two units of Sagittarum Custodians. Both are pretty straightforward with the Sagittarum getting an extra attack thanks to the Misericordia. Bodies are important to take advantage of those sweet re-roll auras from the HQs!
Fast Attack sees 6 Venatari join the fray, which all have 12″ movement, making them great well fast attacks!
Finally, Heavy Support sees the addition of 3 Telemon Heavy Dreadnoughts. Overall these are flexible threats with good ranged and melee weapons, all while being on a mobile and very durable body.
