Sisters Clean Sweep! Bay Area Open: Top 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves. You can check out event details here.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
3rd Place: Stephen Box – Blood Angels
2nd Place: Michael Costello – Tyranids
1st Place: Jesse Sell – Sisters Of Battle
Jesse’s battalion of Sisters was led by a Canoness, Morvenn Vahl, and Celestine. Morvenn is a fantastic character with a great stat line and weapons that make her deadly and durable, but she also has supportive abilities like a hit and wound re-roll aura.
The Canoness is a little less exciting but still has a hit re-roll aura to help out some other bodies be a little more effective. While Celestine is a mobile beat-stick with some decent support power as well.
Troops see 15 Battle Sisters which help provide bodies to control objectives.
Elites bring in a Dogmata for support, Warsuits for some extra flexible armored threats, and 15 Repentia for some melee machines.
Fast Attack brings in 12 Zephyrim and 6 Seraphim. The Seraphim are slightly more ranged-oriented and come with flamers which are perfect for attacking chaff. The Zephyrim is more melee-centric and has a charge re-roll for making crucial charges. Both units have great mobility and serve as units that can finish off weakened targets or grab lone objectives.
Heavy Support has 2 Mortifiers which are more flexible threats and 5 Retributors for some basic anti-armor ranged shots.
Finally, there is a single Rhino to round out points and provide transport for a unit.
