More Games Workshop and Warhammer World tournaments were announced for 2023, along with a couple of events for the US this winter!
Games Workshop events and Warhammer World tournaments are still here, with plenty of stuff for the majority of the games out there! Plus, Warhammer Fest 2023 is shaping up to be the biggest we’ve seen in a really long time.
Games Workshop announced that a few of their major games, Kill Team, 40k, and Age of Sigmar, will each have dedicated Warhammer tournaments and days in Nottingham at Warhammer World.

They announced the news via Warhammer Community. So if you are a UK hobbyist, be sure to keep an eye open when the tournament tickets go on sale if you are interested. Don’t worry, though, we’ll also look at the US tournaments still through the end of the year!

Warhammer Fest 2023: One of the Biggest GW Events Ever!
Warhammer Community unveiled the event along with a ton of details of what to expect. Let’s take a closer look!
Forget what you know about Warhammer Fests of yore – 2023’s event will be the largest, most incredible celebration of the Warhammer hobby the world has ever seen. Taking place at the 10,000-capacity Manchester Central venue, this unmissable event will immerse you in the Warhammer universe with fun, interactive experiences while you catch huge new reveals and enjoy live entertainment in an 800-seat auditorium.
10,000 people is a lot, so they better bring out the big reveal for this one. Then, with an 800-seat auditorium, the reveals are going to be something to watch out for!
You can even hone your painting skills alongside fellow fans and creators from around the world with Hang Out and Hobby Live, test your skills at a Kill Team-themed laser tag event, or check out some of the best cosplay and Warhammer costuming around.
Tickets go on sale from the 11th of November 2022, so head over to the Warhammer Fest website for more information and start planning your next hobby holiday.
We’re not sure how fast the tickets will sell out, but if you want to play in the tournaments, or participate in the Golden Demon competition, we would probably grab tickets sooner than later, just in case.
Warhammer Events
Test your mettle on the grandest stage of all, as Warhammer players from the UK and beyond get together for a weekend of action across your favourite Warhammer games. We’ll be hosting our largest official Warhammer 40,000 tournament in the UK, the Warhammer Underworlds Grand Clash, and more from Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, Kill Team, and Warcry. Participation will require an additional special ticket, so book your space and prepare your army for an epic Warhammer Fest showdown.
There are a lot of games going down, so pretty much whatever your favorite, they probably have you covered.
The world’s most prestigious miniature painting competition returns as world-class artists duke it out to see who’ll lift the legendary Slayer Sword. A special ticket will be required to enter, but if you just want to ogle this year’s stunning entries, don’t worry – all submissions will be on display for Warhammer Fest attendees throughout the weekend.
Golden Demon is always fun, as even if you’re not participating, you get to see a ton of amazing minis.
Cosplayers: We Need You! Enjoy a schedule of cosplay activities across the weekend, with the cosplay showcase and contest taking place on Saturday 29th April. Show off your hard work in front of hundreds of Warhammer fans in the auditorium – and thousands more at home as the show will be live-streamed! Cosplay guidelines and entry form are coming soon, so watch this space.

Warhammer World Tournaments
There are also a ton of Warhammer World tournaments happening in Nottingham. Let’s check them out in order!
Throne of Skulls returns with a Middle-earth™ Strategy Battle Game event. Combine your tactical nous with excellent painting and converting to come out on top, and test your trivia knowledge with the famous Green Dragon Pub Quiz!

Finally, take your favourite Kill Team to a four-game event that mixes tactical gaming with social and creative elements. There’ll be plenty of time to strategise, socialise, and enjoy the sights of Warhammer World in between games.

February Warhammer World Events
Be sure to note all tickets go on sale November 7th for the tournaments below.
Pick a side, join a group of like-minded hobbyists, and decide the fate of a whole world in a one-day Horus Heresy narrative event. Bring your best-painted HQ along to enter the painting competition.

Warhammer Tournaments: US Open Events
The epic Grand Narrative is taking place on the banks of the Rio Grande in November. Join one of three factions and immerse yourself in a wild three-day event hosted by the Warhammer Events team that will pack in thrills, spills, twists, and turns.
Featuring everything from cosplay events to unmissable fireside briefings, your actions at this incredible event could even enter Warhammer canon as you help decide the fate of the Szarbyne system.

Frontline Gaming Las Vegas Open 2023 Registration is Live!
Well, before we get into the tournaments and games you can play, you need to know where you’re staying! The event this next year will take place at the Rio, and with how much space it offers, there will be plenty happening.
