Warhammer 40k Tau Alternatives: Kromlech Unboxing
The Kromlech site has so much stuff on there it’s insane! They have free shipping on everything over €150 (about $160 USD) and have something for everyone. If you want terrain, minis, or bits, they have it! Plus, they recently upgraded their site, and it’s super smooth and way better than before!
But today, we’ll look at all their new Caste Enclaves Tau Alterantives offerings.
When compared to the GW prices, these are really affordable. Obviously, they are alternatives, so they look a little different, but that’s a significant part of using alternatives. For example, 12 drones from Kromlech are $36, and 2 drones from GW are $18…
So if that’s all you buy, it is totally worth it!
The Bits
One cool thing is that Kromlech can be carried by stores here in the US. So if you own a store, these are a great addition to any shop. It makes a perfect little addition for people to grab that isn’t too much money. They also come ready with everything you need ready for retail.
Even if you’re buying these for yourself, the packaging is fantastic and does really well when shipped.
When you get up close to the bits, they look amazing and have so much detail!
They have a lot of indents and pre-cut spots, so everything should slot together nicely.
Assembled Minis
These could be used as Broadsides, and they are under half the price of the GW ones, so pretty sweet deal!
When compared to a Broadside, it’s obviously much more of a Gundam-style look, but it is about the same size and does have the same base.
With this, you can pick what weapons you want on this, and they have pre-made holes for magnets which is really sweet.
These are about the same size as Crisis suits and would make excellent alternatives that are much more affordable!
The drones look great and are basically the exact same size as the normal ones.
Last but not least, you can use this as a Piranha alternative, and if this is the look you’re going for, you can’t beat these, especially for the price!
