Warhammer 40k Kill Team: Ashes of Faith

It falls to the clandestine warriors of the Inquisition to lead the charge against these forces of sedition. Kill Team: Ashes of faith provides a lengthy narrative campaign focused on a group of these operatives and their attempt to purge a whole planet of a malignant Chaos Cult.

There are 40 miniatures, 23 for the Chaos Cult, and 17 assorted Inquisitorial Agents. Seven of these are brand-new dual-build miniatures that allow you to build a rag-tag band of hyper-talented weirdos. The set also contains the Ashes of Faith Campaign Rulebook with all the rules for playing out this planet-spanning narrative, and dozens of accessories.

These new Inquisition Agents seem to already be a fan-favorite with hobbyists because of their modularity and retro callbacks to the early 2000s 54mm scale Inquisition tabletop game.  However, it’s still up in the air if this box set was actually produced in quantity to satisfy stores and gamers alike.

With Gallowfall capped at 4 per store, and prices going for 1.5 to 2x retail, the frustration at Games Workshop and their influencers has become palpable in both online comments and in-person conversation.

Campaigns of The Age of Darkness: The Siege of Cthonia

Campaigns of The Age of Darkness The Siege of Cthonia

The first narrative expansion for the Horus Heresy arrives, and it’s a 240-page whopper. The Siege of Cthonia covers the catastrophic battle for the homeworld of the Sons of Horus, which Vheren Ashurhaddon has vowed to take back for the Warmaster. All that stands between him and victory for the True Sons is a massive, entrenched Imperial Fists garrison led by Evander Garrius.

This huge supplement features a hefty lore section, campaign rules for playing out the key battles of the siege, new rules for claustrophobic Zone Mortalis battles, as well as new options for units and wargear including Inductii, tank commanders, and the Infernus Abomination.

It’s cool to see the first narrative campaign book for Horus Heresy. Hobbyists for this game take it very seriously and we love to see it.

Vindicator Siege Tank

Lay waste to enemy fortifications and pulverise whole squads of Astartes with salvos of shells spat from the hull-mounted demolisher cannon of the Vindicator Siege Tank. This plastic kit will fill out squadrons and bring ruin to your foes.

Also coming this week is the Vindicator Siege Tank, previewed way back towards the beginning of the year.

First among these is the Primaris Company Champion. Previously an event-exclusive model, this hero of the Chapter has proved exceptionally popular – who can resist that stance? In future, look out for other event miniatures returning to sale via Made to Order for a limited time after their event window has closed.

The previous event miniature for 2022 will be available as MTO, along with a host of other Space Marines as well.

In plastic, there’s the Primaris Company Champion and the Blood Angels Captain in Terminator Armour. In resin are Brother Corbulo, Chapter Master Pedro Kantor, Chapter Master Gariel Seth, Flesh Tearers Shoulder Pads, Darnath Lysander, Dark Angels Company Master, Captain Sicarius, Sergeant Chronus, and Sergeant Telion. In resin, with plastic parts are Captain Tycho, Chaplain Cassius, and the Tyrannic War Veterans. And finally, in metal and plastic is the White Scars Khan on Bike.

They will be available to order for nine days, between the 20th of May and the 29th of May at 8am UK-time – and they may take up to 180 days to arrive.

Previously put on Last Chance to Order just over a year ago, these miniatures are back and available to order with a 6-month fulfillment timeframe.

Regardless, the moral of the story of any miniature from Games Workshop now is that they always seem to come back for sale at some point in the future.
