According to the latest rumors, at least two new Chaos Space Marine Lords and a Warhammer 40k bundle box set are on the way for 10th Edition!
We’ve heard this is what Chaos would get for their 1oth Edition release, and it looks like it’s coming true! While there will only be two new models this time around, there will be two Battleforces, a combat patrol, and, of course, a new codex for 10th edition!

2 New 40k Chaos Space Marines Battleforces, Jump Pack Character, & Lord Revealed!
Don’t miss these two new 40k Chaos Space Marines Lord models coming in twin Battleforces alongside a Codex and combat patrol!
Chaos Lord On Foot
The new Chaos Lord is an impressive sight, adorned with various trophies and decorations that are fitting for a barbaric war leader, including a leering stomach plate and a backpack adorned with skulls.
The kit offers a variety of weapon options, such as a chainaxe, an accursed maul, or a daemon hammer in the right hand and a plasma pistol or power fist in the left. Additionally, there is a choice of a horned helmet or a bare head, both of which are intimidating.
Chaos Lord With Jump Pack
While some Lords choose to fight on foot, others prefer to take to the skies and engage in battle as quickly as possible. A jump pack is a perfect tool for launching into action and earning favor with the gods, so why not strap one on and unleash destruction from above?
The Chaos Lord with Jump Pack is depicted in a dynamic pose, either just landing on or jumping off from his unfortunate target. He can be equipped with a power axe or fist, along with a plasma or bolt pistol, providing a balanced loadout for battling all types of enemies.
Fans of the Night Lords will be pleased to see the return of the classic pair of lightning claws for shredding foes in close combat.
New Chaos Battleforces
Then, there will be two new Battleforces, one each with one new character. The first will focus on the more combat assault side of things, with the jump-pack character. Whether you love Haarken or not, it’s nice to have a new jump-pack character for a cheaper and more flexible option.
Dread Talons Battleforce
The Dread Talons battleforce is focused on one goal: smashing through enemy lines with a massive horde of jump-pack troops. The new Chaos Lord with Jump Pack leads a wing of 10 Raptors, along with a terrifying Daemon Prince, while 10 Cultists, a unit of Accursed Cultists, and a Dark Commune hold down the fort for their profane masters.
Veterans of the Long War Battleforce
The Veterans of the Long War battleforce serves as the perfect foundation for a Chaos Space Marines army. The new Chaos Lord on foot leads a hand-picked bodyguard of five Chosen. The box also includes 10 Legionaries, 10 Chaos Terminators, and five Possessed.
It makes sense for the new Lord to be in this box, as he’ll have tons of models to boss around!
Chaos Space Marines Combat Patrol
There wasn’t much information released about the new Chaos Combat Patrol, but it appears to include a squad of Possessed, Cultists, Legionaries, and a Master of Possession.
Chaos Space Marines 10th Edition Codex
There is also a brand new Codex: Chaos Space Marines, which is packed with new rules, detachments, and more.
It is one of the largest codexes released to date, featuring eight detachments that highlight the fighting styles of classic Traitor Legions, as well as other renegade forces like piratical raiders and devotees of Vashtorr the Arkifane.
While there aren’t a ton of new minis, their codex sounds interesting, with eight detachments and even ways to finally play with full traitor guard/cultists lists!
With two new Battleforces, a jump pack character, a Chaos Lord, and a codex with eight detachments, there will be plenty of options to choose from to help you spread Chaos throughout the galaxy!

While these are rumors, one of these might answer the prayers of Chaos Space Marine players. Plus, when their codex drops, GW might even focus on more Terminators for a new bundle box set (but the models might not be what you’re hoping for). Remember, though, these are rumors, so take them with as much salt as you need! Don’t get too excited or bummed, as nothing is confirmed until Games Workshop says it is.
RUMORS: New Chaos Space Marine Lords & Boxsets on the Way
The rumors come from Valrak via the B&C.
Haarken is currently the only jump-pack character.
Let’s start with the rumors about new Chaos Lord models. First, Chaos Space Marines might finally get a generic Lord with a jump pack! It’s been something CSM hobbyists have wanted for a long time. It would also mean you don’t have to run a special character to buff up your Raptors. That could make sense, considering Space Marines just got a generic jump pack character. Plus, as we said, this is something that most Chaos players have wanted to see for a long time.
Next up, the rumors point to a new Lord similar to the one from Blackstone Fortress. However, the rumors say it may be a new Terminator Lord. Taken out of context, it could just be wishlisting. However, the art from the Deathwing Assault Box may help support that theory, especially since GW doesn’t put out artwork for miniatures that don’t exist.
The Terminator character in the art on the left looks pretty close to the Chaos lord miniature above, just in Terminator form! This is still speculation, but since Games Workshop never likes to put out art without a model release ready, this wouldn’t be surprising.
New Chaos Box Set & Terminators Rumors
A new bundle box set is also rumored to have this new Terminator Lord in it, but unfortunately, Valrak didn’t hear anything about a new Terminator Squad. He thinks it’s more likely to have just the new Terminator Lord and the current squad in the box. However, these are rumors, so there is a chance we could see new terminators. But at this point, it doesn’t look great.
Lastly, the outlook for new bikes also doesn’t look too great, but there may be a re-release of the previous Chaos Bikes box when the codex drops.
