Space Wolves Win The German Super Major: Top 40k Army Lists

3rd Place: Max Kanter – Orks
2nd Place: Tim Schlizio – Orks
1st Place: Marvin Petersen – Space Wolves
Marvin’s winning Space Wolves list was led by Logan for a great melee model and charge re-rolls, Ulrik for hit and wound re-rolls, three Battle Leaders on Thunderwolves for extra movement and Lethal Hits, and a Single Lord on Thunderwolf for +1 advance and charge to its unit.
A unit of Blood Claws brings in some solid melee models, while two units Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs do that same but trade in fewer models for extra movement. There is also a Rhino to help protect and transport a unit in the early turns.
Three Scout Squads bring in cheap chaff units with a good re-deploy ability.
Three units of Thunderwolf Cavalry bring in the pain as some durable mobile melee threats.
Two units of Wulfen are about the same cost as the Cavalry, but trade in more models and less mobility for twice as many bodies.
The list closes out on some allied in henchmen to help round out points and get a few more wound soaking bodies.
There you have it: the top Warhammer 40k army lists from the German Super Major were ruled by two different Ork lists, and Space Wolves.
Marvins’ Space Wolves army came out on top thanks to its huge focus on melee threats. Bringing in strong, durable units for close combat and a few more mobile options that crushed even the toughest rivals. Overall, studying these army lists offers some insight for newer Warhammer 40k players and pros alike.
