The final episode in the Astartes series is finally here! Come check out our breakdown of the video, and all the episodes leading up to this!
The maker of the Astartes channel on YouTube announced that episode five would be the last in the series for these Marines. With that said, he also pointed out that with continued support, he had plans to make other series using his talent as well. With over 1 million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours of posting part five, support might not be that hard to come by!

Space Marines are preparing to breach into an enemy ship from some kind of assault shuttle. They perform their blessing rites over their Bolters and lock into the rig.
Astartes- Part Two

Space Marines breach the hull of the enemy ship after surviving enemy fire. Then, proceed to do what Space Marines in the lore. They walk through enemy fire and obliterate the problem in a matter of minutes.

The video shows the Astartes making some serious headway into the ship they boarded. The Heretics inside scramble to find the weaponry powerful enough to crack the Space Marine’s Ceramite. However, like usual, the Marines walk through the fire with no issues and continue deeper inside.

After wading through small arms fire from Traitors, the Space Marines seem to have met their match. Two Psyker-like enemies are guarding some kind of Vault and the Space Marines pull off a mean ambush.
Astartes Part Five: The Final Episode In the Series Out Now!

So we last left off where the Astartes just killed those two Psykers in the corridor. They were defending some kind of vault. Well, the Marines gained access inside and found some kind of old talking orb with some (what looked like) psychic abilities.
The Marines also walked across this in the video… It looked like some kind of statue that had parts ripped off of its leg. You can see some structural wires under the plating. We’re not exactly sure what significance this has for the video but the maker definitely took some time to point it out. A Man of Iron perhaps?
Once they got to the orb, it started sending out pulses that almost swept the Marines off their feet…initially.
While this is all going on, there’s an Inquisitor that looks to be talking with another orb that’s been chained up. He’s in deep focus while being guarded by two other elite Marines. Something breaks his focus and the orb he’s talking with starts to take over his mind.
It looks like he stats suffering a Perils of the Warp and the Marines next to him deal with it accordingly.
It might seem like a harsh treatment but keeping everyone else safe while stopping his mind from exploding (from the inside-out at least) is a better alternative.
Going back to the orb that the other Marines are at, it turns on them at starts absorbing them.
But Dr. Plasma isn’t one to roll over against a tough enemy. He lets his plasma pistol get partially absorbed and fires it to try and break free from what’s happening but just ends up blowing off his own hand.
Finally, he ends up in whatever this place is….I guess you’d call it the stuff of nightmares? He’s alone and missing a hand. A great way to start a mission.
This series was completely fan-made and it’s been incredible to watch unfold. The community-at-large pretty much calls it a masterpiece.
