Drukhari models may finally get the refresh fans crave; from Vect to Corsairs, here’s what the latest Warhammer 40k rumors are pointing toward.

The Drukhari have finally slithered out of the shadows, and this time it’s not just a rumor. Games Workshop actually dropped the goods: Lady Malys is here at last, a brand-new Archon has stepped onto the stage (even if he’s locked behind a Battleforce paywall for now), two boxed sets are hitting shelves, and the new codex is packing fresh detachments and a revamped Power from Pain system.
But let’s be hopeful, the real feast is still coming. All signs point to the 11th Edition bringing the long-overdue range refresh, sweeping out the Finecast relics, and giving the Dark Eldar the glow-up they’ve been denied for years. Until then, these releases are a sharp appetizer before the main course.
Why the Drukhari Need an Update
Let’s be honest, some of these kits are ancient. Finecast, clunky Beastmasters, and resin Tantalus builds that test even the most patient hobbyist have been crying out for replacements. When you compare them to the flashy new Aeldari refresh earlier this year, the Drukhari are looking downright dusty.
Even the new kits for 10th Edition don’t really flesh them out as much as they need. Dark Eldar are perfectly positioned for a huge refresh in 11th Edition.
Beyond the Basics: What Might 11th Edition Bring?
The juicier whispers are pointing at a much larger 11th edition refresh. Alleged candidates include:
- New multi-part Archon kit (confirmed in the latest drop)
- Lady Malys (finally confirmed by GW after months of rumors)
- Plastic Tantalus (maybe getting dug up from the Legends bin)
- A massive Asdrubael Vect centerpiece model (this rumor comes up every edition, so don’t hold your breath, even though we might)
- New Beast Packs and Court of the Archon sculpts (desperately needed as they are finecast)
- Mounted Mandrakes
- Reworked Cabalite Warriors and Wych kits
- A new Succubus
There’s even chatter about subtle scale tweaks: 32mm heroes and slightly taller infantry on 28.5mm bases. We’ve already seen Scourges and Incubi creeping onto bigger bases, so this tracks.
With the new drop from GW, two of these came true, so still plenty for GW to build on… or disappoint, possibly.
Pirate-Themed Expansions
Some of the spiciest gossip involves pirate-flavored releases that blur the line between Drukhari and Corsair. The highlights include:
- Corsair kits with a distinctly Drukhari twist
- Shroud of Commander Kabalite Black Heart
- Upgrade sprues for Red Corsairs
The Aeldari corsair connection continues with talk of a new Prince Yriel sculpt, a retooled Vyper kit (low stock in the UK has fans raising eyebrows), and even tie-ins with upcoming Warhammer+ content.
The Webstore Purge
This is currently everything on the GW website for them.
One of GW’s classic tells before a range refresh is quietly pulling old kits. Right now, Drukhari’s online presence has some big gaps:
- Combat Patrol box (new Coven-focused box confirmed in the latest drop)
- Beastmaster and Beast Packs
- Court of the Archon
- Reavers
- Tantalus (already in Legends, but that doesn’t always mean retired)
- Grotesques
- Wracks
This doesn’t guarantee replacements, but it’s hard to ignore when whole swaths of the range disappear at once. It could be temporary stock issues, or it could mean Commorragh is about to raid our wallets in a big way.
Final Thoughts From Us: New Drukhari Models
We think that if history is any guide, not every rumor on the list will make it. GW usually trims down refreshes, so we might see a handful of revamped core kits and one or two big surprises. Still, the appetite for new Drukhari models is massive.
With the faction being one of the last to get its codex in 10th edition, we didn’t get that much on the list, but all signs now point to a big push as part of the 11th edition launch window.
For now, you have two new kits to play with. But keep your eyes peeled for 11th Edition, and maybe we’ll see the giant refresh we’re all hoping for.
