This week Kenny from Next Level Painting shows us some easy scenic terrain effects for basing miniatures. Expand your painting arsenal with these tools.
Kenny Usually does painting tutorials, but in order to paint, you also need to practice! This week he’s helping us by adding a new tool to our arsenal. It can be hard to learn to get terrain just right but with a few practice runs, you’ll have it down for sure.
Using some Temple Ruins bits from Gamers Grass he selects two pieces and glues them in the spot he wants on the base and waits for them to fully dry.
Next up he grabs some pumice and lathers up the entire base all the way around, making sure to leave the pumice “fluffy,” not trying to pat it down too much.
After that, dry-brush the stone edges with white, the dirt with a golden-brown, add any tufts you like, and you’re done with your base! With that, the exercise is finished!
