Get ready to plug in those 40k lists and sign up for My Warhammer now- GW has re-announced their 40k army-builder app for Friday.
Warhammer Community gave us an update on their latest project. They’ve got the Warhammer 40k app loaded and coming to us this Friday and have already given us a way to create our accounts early. Here’s the latest.
Earlier Details on the App
You can download the app for free, but for any useful information, you’ll have to become a subscriber. Sure, you get to read the core rules on your phone, but we also saw GW drop a free PDF download on the core rules earlier. The only neat part about the app if you don’t choose to pay is that you’ll be able to download a digital form of your codex if you buy one for your army once the 9th Edition version of your army’s codex drops.
The Core Rules for the game are included in the app for free, so everyone has a quick reference to the rules in the heat of battle. Neat, huh? Well, just you wait until new codexes start to drop – every codex written for the new edition will include a one-use code you can redeem through your My Warhammer account (we’ll get back to that in a minute) to unlock that codex in the app.
Also, this is how much it’s going to cost:
£3.99 – less than a paintbrush per month for all your rules in the palm of your hand.
For hobbyists in the US, that should be about $5. (five times more expensive than the AoS army builder AZYR app).
