Orkbuster Megaboss From Hardcore Miniatures: Unboxing
It’s always cool to see smaller companies growing and branching out. Especially with the way certain companies are pricing their minis lately. Hard Core Miniatures has really stepped up their game lately and greatly expanded their line. Rob takes a quick look at their site and all they offer. It is really easy to navigate and full of great minis. This time around we’re going to focus on their Orktober release.
This mini is a mash-up we didn’t know we needed! It’s a mixture of an Ork and the Hulk-buster suit from Iron Man. For the price of $28, this is actually a pretty good value! Just keep in mind it might take a couple of weeks to ship with all the COVID craziness. Still, not terrible.
Orkbuster Megboss Parts:
It comes as a multi-part resin kit. The resin is super high-quality and seems to be pre-washed. You can see the detail in every piece and they all are very well made. Their pieces are also very consistent in quality and fit together very well.
Completed Ork:
This was even simpler than Rob thought. Everything has a slot that it fits into and they make the sizes of the slots perfectly. There are barely any spaces to fill or lines to trim. The only thing that took a second was the ammo-feed, but it really wasn’t too hard. Overall the mini is super detailed and looks great when put together. You can’t even tell some of the pieces are individual pieces they fit together so well.
Just keep in mind the closed helmet does not fit when you put the bare head-on as well. You have to choose one or the other.
Size Comparison:
He towers over the poor Primaris Marine, you can even fit him in the claw if you feel like going for a conversion!
Bobby G is almost a hair bigger, but the Ork is the perfect size for games of 40k.
When you consider something like Ghazghkul is $65, this is a great value for such an amazing looking mini! If you play Orks, you need to think about including this in your collection. We have some more stuff to show you, but wanted to get this guy out for the end of Orktober (more or less…)!
