Hobbyists are reacting to images of “poorly” designed Legions Imperialis models as they don’t look quite as good as the painted product images from GW.
Someone snapped an image of the infantry from a Corporate Warhammer Games Workshop store, and there are some noticeable design “features.”
The miniatures are single pieces and injection molds, so some of these “features” seem hard to avoid, but others seem pretty obvious.
This also might not have been such a big issue if the game wasn’t so delayed, but after such a long delay, seeing these images seems to make hobbyists on socials like Reddit a little upset.
Hobbyists React to “Poorly” Designed Legions Imperialis Models
This picture comes from Reddit.
From this distance, you can see that the arms seem to blend into the weapons like the old one and two-part 40k scale models from the late 80s and early 90s. Some comments have theorized that GW was taking pictures only of the good side of minis (or clipping a bunch of these models).
However, when you get close, you can really see the “blocking” on the guns/shoulders.

While you could snip off some of the extra plastic from the shoulder pad to the head, there is not much to do about the gun blocking unless you want to spend countless hours on them.

This is similar to all the comments; most are getting serious upvotes. It’s just not a good look, but at least the multi-part models seem to be fine. These are all single-piece minis, but judging from the comments, it seems like hobbyists don’t think that’s a valid excuse.
In a preview from Warhammer Community, you could actually see some of the blocking on the miniatures, but GW took the pictures from far enough away, and with the paint job, it was hard to see.
