Sure, the hype was real at the beginning of 10th Edition Warhammer 40k. However, since then, it seems things haven’t been trending in the right direction regarding live engagement for Games Workshop’s keystone live new release previews. There was a drop in live viewership during their recent Warhammer previews. The World Championships of Warhammer preview in November 2023 had the lowest numbers for any of the 10th Edition era previews, indicating a disconnect between hobbyists and the company’s upcoming releases.

There were some really cool reveals at the WCW preview, but people just didn’t seem to tune in. While this one was on quite late, LVO and many other previews around the same time slots have pulled in significantly more viewers in the past.
So, while the time may have impacted live viewer numbers, it’s not uncommon to see Games Workshop stream a preview when they did.
