Gamers Grass has a huge assortment of products for basing and general hobbying needs. However, today, Rob is looking specifically at their two new lines of basing bits. Let’s check out the Temple bits first.
You can get these basing bits or textures from the links below:
Temple Basing Bits $18.76

Rock Basing Bits $18.76

As we move onto how Rob would use and prepare these bits, he points to these two trusted brands for basing texture. Of course, you could also use Citadel brand textures, it just may take a few more passes on the base.

Each basing material product is different, but the general idea behind the application is the same. Make sure to either use the citadel plastic base tool or even just some old brushed to spread the material around.
These bits do have a small lip on the edges, so be sure to use your choice of base material to cover it up nicely. Once you have done that, just let it dry then you can begin painting.

Once it dries, you can’t even tell these were separate bits! As you can imagine, when you paint and attach your miniatures, it will be even harder to tell! Considering that this process is so easy (and relatively cheap), it might just be a good alternative to buying premade bases.
