New previews were spotted for the new Marvel Warhammer 40k Marneus Calgar comic book showing off some of the pages already colored!
Warhammer Community announced their partnership with Marvel a while back and started showcasing their 40k Marneus Calgar comic book. We’ll be going over all the past details first but we’ll also be taking a look at the brand new pages that have just been spotted.
Marvel 40k Comic #1 Incoming Featuring Marneus Calgar!
The team at Marvel have worked hand in hand with the Warhammer Studio throughout the making of the Marneus Calgar comic to ensure that everything looks and feels like the 41st Millennium you know and love. Our loremasters and hawk-eyed reviewers have ensured that from bolters to [redacted], this is an accurate and 100% official portrait of the grim darkness of the far future.
When will Marneus Calgar be out? We’ll let you know as soon as we have the details. For now, though, feast your eyes on the stunning cover from the first issue in this landmark series!
Marneus Calgar Marvel 40k Comic Book Pages SPOTTED

Alright, so this comic is starting off strong. Marneus is busy blasting Cultists in half with his underslung bolters. However, the million-dollar question is why these Cultists (and one Space Marine) are charging him up a flight of stairs and not even bothering to shoot at him. There’s literally dudes with autoguns blindly charging him at point-blank.

We’re sure there is going to be some dialogue but for whatever reason, this was left out in these frames. However, we know that the Mechanicus is also going to be involved in this comic.
Kieron Gillen looks to be the writer of the comic with a little bit of commentary from him within the page. If you look at the bottom, it says “Games Retailers, be sure to order your copies by…”. It looks like cutting that date off was almost intentional.
Finally, we see Marneus with that same Mechanicus scribe standing on an elevated platform of some ruins that are being repaired/fortified.
These pages are looking great! Especially if you’re a diehard Marneus fan!
First reports were that the comic was due in October, but with the current pandemic, its hard to say for sure at this point when Marneus Calgar #1 will hit store shelves.
