If you are looking forward to the new edition of Age of Sigmar, then this week has you covered with the Core Rules and Faction Packs, meaning there’s something for all Age of Sigmar hobbyists this week.

Here are the details for these new releases, which will be available to pre-order with your favorite retailers on Saturday, July 6th, 2024, around 1 p.m. EST in the States, for delivery on July 20th.

The pre-order phase for Skaventide is gonna be two weeks long. ‘Cause GW is expecting a crazy demand, they’re setting up a queue system. Each person can only pre-order one copy, and your pre-order time depends on where you’re at.

The new starter will come with 74 models (24 Stormcast and 50 Skaven), all the accessories you need, the cards, The General’s Handbook, and the rulebook. The 40k Leviathan Starter sold for $250, so at $265, Skaventide is also far more expensive than Dominion, but it seems like we’re getting a pretty beefy box to go along with the price!

New Warhammer Age of Sigmar Pre-Orders

The latest Warhammer Age of Sigmar pre-orders have arrived, and they’re as epic as a Stormcast Thunderstrike! Whether you’re rallying your armies in Shyish or forging alliances in Aqshy, these new releases are here to elevate your game to legendary status.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Core Book

This 288-page hardback book serves as the ultimate companion to the latest edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Containing a wealth of background information, it provides an exceptional introduction to the Mortal Realms.

The book features an impressive gatefold cosmology showcasing the eight realms, along with stunning art and miniature photography, and summaries of every faction. Additionally, the Core Book incorporates the Core Rules, Advanced Rules, Battlepack: First Blood for Matched Play (including three battleplans), and the narrative Battlepack: Ascension for Path to Glory.

This comprehensive resource also includes four upgrade paths for heroes, two for units, and six battleplans.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: General’s Handbook 2024-25

It includes Core and Advanced Rules, Season Rules themed on powerful boons for your general’s honor guard, 12 battleplans from previous editions, a rules update for universal Endless Spells, and a Tournament Organizers’ pack for event management advice.

Spearhead: Fire and Jade Gaming Pack

The upcoming game mode for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, Spearhead, is designed to offer players fast-paced games with a strong emphasis on tactical decision-making. The starter set includes essential components, such as terrain pieces, range rulers, a double-sided game board, and various card decks.

Spearhead’s Battlepack will be offered for free, and each faction’s rules will be available in their Faction Packs, in both physical and digital formats.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Faction Packs

The Faction Packs contain all the necessary rules for each faction in one convenient package. Players will be able to download the packs for free before the new edition is launched, and they will also have the option to purchase them as packs of cards.

Each pack includes a background summary, cards with Battle Traits, Battle Formations, Heroic Traits, Artefacts of Power, Spell Lores, Prayer lores, and Manifestation Lores for their armies. Additionally, the packs contain cards for games of Spearhead, featuring Battle Traits, Regiment Traits, Enhancements, and warscroll cards.

Free digital editions of these Faction Packs will be available for download shortly after their release.
